If you're wanting a practice that 90% of clans (not just Legacy) use to deal with people who sell themself for $2 an hour then you'd need to do more than a topic. You'd be looking for a while to find a clan that doesn't dox or ddos leaks/rats. Gonna have to work on some alternate solutions if this common method is now to be outlawed, but it would probably help sharkbrew and their stance on doxing if they didn't let their discord become a breeding ground for irl leaks and attacks first.

Murd, in all honesty you need to stop. No one on our staff team allows for this kind of nonsense to happen, and we take it pretty seriously when instances of doxing occur. The fact that you think that we even allow this type of behavior on our platform shows how little you know and how much effort and time it takes to keep people like this out of our channels and forums. The reality of this situation is that it's become so entrenched into the community's behavior that everyone thinks it's acceptable to attack each other without actually understanding the real world ramifications, dangers and consequences their actions can bring. Also to add to the point that this isn't a situation where a random member from a clan behaved in rash fashion and was booted from the clan, this was an instance of clan leaders normalizing this behavior in front of all of their members. The difference is that this can create a top-down power vacuum where leadership essentially holds their members hostage with aggressive behavior, and normalizes this behavior in front of their members which in turn will show no regard for others and begin to believe that this sort of behavior is acceptable. And how do you think other clans are going to respond? They're going to respond in like-fashion, which is bad for this community and bad for existing player retention. You need to cut out this "SharkBrew mods is bias" bullshit out and actually take a look at what's happening.

In a swift 3-0 fashion, we ended up forcing Zenith's GMT unit to call their entire rank team to attend this slaughter LMFAO! Not a fan of doxxing, but I think it's ironic to see certain clans claiming the high road when everyone knows that these practices/tactics are widespread throughout the community. It's going to take a concerted effort from the community to change for things like doxxing/ddosing to stop and frankly, I don't think the community is up to it. It would need to start at the top with leaders across clans to put aside differences and make decisions for the good of the community, something that has proven impossible time and time again. I think a member of any clan in 2020 (or honestly anyone playing online games in 2020) should be wary of what IRL information they share with others. Be smart about what/how much you share because you don't know what hands it's going to fall into. Furthermore, if you know you've shared sensitive information in the past, maybe think twice about leaking for some quick gp. Again - not condoning doxxing, just telling it as it is.

thats fair, imo take precautions and its all g. I'd say as long as you dont list your RSN on social media/in a picture of yourself no one can 100% prove you're the player of a RS/Discord account. And if you allow that to happen you accepted the risks, knowingly or unknowingly. Gotta start an some kind of anti dox union between the communities if you really want it to end - which will likely never happen b/c of grudges and snakes

Along with rot you should probably add rage, foe, sup, fi, zenith, kg to the list of clans/communities that have been involved in nh actions against leaks or people in other clans. And just to add, using a scapegoat of attacking "your high horse" to deflect discourse of the greater issue at hand just enables it to continue!!! Everyone also knows the pure scene is on par with the main scene in toxicity. People need to stop being so toxic/nh and in this community, there shouldn't be such a gray line of what is accepted. If staff say irl related stuff is bad, it should be bad and we shouldn't see people leaking irl information via flamewars on a near daily basis.

You should probably look over the campfire channel on discord some time. It may be insinuating that sharkbrew mods are bias, but it's not. It's more so insinuating that many tend to give up on or only give out minimal consequences for irl related attacks on people, or talk of ddos (and they seem to only take action against a very small percentage of it, and favour using slowmode instead of taking action). I opened campfire this morning and saw many mods online, but people comfortably talking about each others fat mothers, irl situation, appearance, employment, and no consequences as a result. Are you confident in saying sharkbrew staff are doing their best at dealing with the irl leaking and ddos threats that people in the community are using against eachother, and that it actually is not a daily occurance on discord?

Isn't this post the exact kind of content that this topic is saying is very bad/unacceptable and that rot are guilty of, yet is accepted and allowed to remain present on this forum by the ranks of sharkbrew?

I can't speak for the other staff members and moderators, but I'm confident in my abilities that I am taking every available step and precaution to combat this sort of behavior, and continue to do so on a daily basis. Unfortunately I'm human, so I can't be around 24 hours of every day making sure that people are adhering to our standards, which is why we have additional staff members. Getting everyone on the same page is a constant evolution, new situations crop up, and stuff falls through the cracks. It should not be a regular revolving issue, and if it's getting to that point, we need help from the users of the community to make sure that these situations are being dealt with in fair and just fashion. So, if you see any of this happening, and something isn't being addressed, I am asking you to please get in touch with one of us and we will look at the situation seriously. Given the problems over the last 24 hours, I've had to scramble my staff team and bring up multiple discussions about this type of behavior to make sure everyone is on the same page. Because of this I'm taking up a fair bit of their time making sure that we have the tools to address these problems. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, PLEASE SAY SOMETHING.
