Sorry if this topic came out late, it was imperative that I understood the entire situation before deciding on any action. I would like to thank all the brave victims who came out recently to the Sharkbrew rank team to share their experiences with us. In 2017, I was made aware of whipz sharing social media photos of female clanners. I felt this situation was best solved personally between all affected parties. I was not aware of the extreme levels of harassment that occurred until recently when Kim recently spoke quite graphically of some of the things that affected her girlfriends that included sexual harassment, group harassment, and in-game stalking. This is a form of cyber bullying which cannot be taken lightly. This small group of female clanners who simply want to enjoy the game has tolerated this madness for too long. Whipz was able to hop to different clans to repeatedly target female runescape pure clanners as these victims were either too afraid to speak up, or clan leadership refused to take action. Unlike some of the frivolous claims in the #Metoo movement, every gal's testimonial was rigorously examined. Extraneous steps has been taken during my investigation including getting testimonials from those who vouch for whipz. I hope the community can spare a thought in the future for all members,regardless of gender, of their clan and I urge everyone to come together to stamp out this bullying behavior. The full extent of whipz's actions can be found here: ----------------------------------------------------- With all that out of the way, I have decided on the following punishment: Whipz - Perm ban from Sharkbrew discord and Forums for exposing Kim's IRL pictures on Discord and Forums Im_sobeast - Perm ban from Sharkbrew discord for spreading Kim's IRL pictures and DOX'd her further to obtain more information which whipz did not have and inciting people to share pictures of Kim Acid - Muted for 1 month for sharing irl pictures of Kim as incited by Beast ----------------------------------------------------- Whipz's public dox was repeatedly spread on Apex forums(probably by the same person) and threats were made to people in discord, I will be taking the following action on the individual responsible: Nick1 - Perm ban from Sharkbrew forums/1 month mute on Sharkbrew discord(for harassing people)

TLDR, the troll acc originally was made for a few of my friends in Apex/EOP to post miniwar topics (Sharkbrew original tourny/Other clan miniwar topics) then the acc was inactive up until I joined Foe I lent it to 3-4 people to post around who don't typically use the site. The acc was never given to people known for Doxing/DDosing etc. So that claim is incorrect. Overall I knew it wasn't a good idea to give it out regardless if it wasn't me who was posting on it Apologies to anyone who got flamed etc from it

"All good things must come to an end." With a tinge of sadness and a heavy heart, I like to announce that Lenin has stepped down from the sharkbrew rank team to focus on his IRL matters. Lenin has always pushed the limits and strived for excellence in everything he has done. His contribution to the GFX scene ensured that the community always had a dependable FX person to come to. While as a high rank of Sharkbrew, Lenin has always maintained his neutrality and despite times where people has tried knocking him down, Lenin always had the tenacity to get back up. He was an invaluable rank who put in alot of effort in manpower as well as showing inclination in making strategic decision. Personally to me, he is a very good friend and I wish him all the best in whatever he does in the future. We like to thank him for his services as a rank to Sharkbrew, his contribution. In other words, Danny has also stepped down due to the overwhelming demands both IRL and RS. I would like to thank danny for his contributions in stablizing the clan scene and I hope he continues to maintains this ethos while he continues leading FOE

One of our recently promoted ranks had his account breached by the DULL. Instead of reporting the issue to us, he decided to go on his own merry way of deleting all of our rank board topics and modifying topics such as: Pinning a leak topic Deleting the tracking topic for this month's COTM Changing Winner's topic title for the 6v6 from FOE to EOP. And lastly deleting topics from rival clans: I have done the necessary investigative word to link the encrypt ip to DULL The encrypted IP in question links to Dull's account and the linguistic style of posts under the same encrypted IP appears to match that of Dull Dull's action has tried to impede Sharkbrew ranks from executing their duties and to maliciously mislead members of the community on the performance of certain clans. This in my opinion is an extremely severe offence not seen before and so I have permanently banned Dull from Discord and Forums Lastly I would like to thank EOP for assisting with investigations. I would like to apologise, bonum fidei, to IR and Hotkeying for any sort of embarrassment caused to them or their reputation for the incident earlier. The Incident Hotkeying's SB account was breached earlier because the password he used for Sharkbrew was the same for other sites. Unfortunately as his account was banned for irl threats, this resulted in his 2FA authentication being disabled and the hacker was able to log in. The hacker(EOP Lil Nick) pm'd me to get his account unbanned. As I reviewed the account history, it appeared the account was banned over 2 months ago for IRL threats when it was supposed to be temporary. So I made the decision to unban the account. Additionally, due to the IP encryption system of Sharkbrew(that issues a new encrypted IP every 24 hours), we are unable to determine whether it was the real Hotkeying Upon the removal of the ban, Nick went ahead to post the following topic: As this is not the first time Nick has converted a rank of another clan into joining his own, I disregarded some warnings from my own rank(Brap/Danny) team that it was probably a fake topic. Regardless, I sent a PM to IR Michaell to confirm just incase. Later, when hotkeying came on, we discovered his topic was merely a ruse and his account indeed was hijacked, thus Sharkbrew have taken the following steps: We have secured the account of Hotkeying The topic in question has been deleted Thanks to Lil nick cooperation, we have uncovered the entirety of the issues including the fact that 2fa didn't work if your account was banned nor did it work if trying to post a topic Due to his cooperation, we have decided to banned his Sharkbrew account for 1 week We urge all sharkbrew users to avoid using the same password on sharkbrew and else where

Improving our moderation I like to bring everyone's attention to the sharkbrew rules again. These rules has been revised and I would like to reinforce that we will be taking a harsher stance towards personal flame from now onwards. There is little reason to flame anyone personally especially when for all intents and purposes.. you are actually flaming the clan they are in and there are about a bazillion points you can flame any clan on. Improving Moderation Feedback Currently in IPB4, there is no feedback mechanism for reporting posts, nor are members aware that rule infringers have been warned. Thanks to @Koed Beastly he has suggested a number of feedback mechanisms that will help the community recognize that we do take action on members and on reports. If you report a post, you will receive a notification when the report has been acted on by a mod In addition, I have implemented a ban/suspended status for members Stay tune later for further updates this week as we are launching the first community led anti-doxing system by @Kim

To incentivize clans to drop their mains, Sharkbrew will be awarding a signature and 100m RSGP to clans who do not bring mains to their wilderness trips for the month of March. I would like to congratulation the following LPC clan for winning the award:

The creation of a UB tank team to hit xLPC clans who bring mains has ruffled a few feathers, and more so considering that a Sharkbrew rank member is one of the ranks of the said team. While I don't agree with the methods involved, the intent behind such a team brings in a whole new dynamic into play because Sharkbrew has never had any enforcement ability in game and coincidentally, the creation of this team brought everyone to the negotiating table. Over the past week, the xLPC leaders had explored the topic of the mains that had infested their scene for the past 4 months. I am delighted to say that majority of the Leaders have collectedly agreed to drop the mains and work on better communication if anything out of the ordinary were to occur. In light of this new agreement, Tyen will would be temporarily demoted for the period where he either steps down from the tank team, closes it altogether, or if the xLPC choose not to adhere to the terms of the agreement. We hope that the leaders of the scene will help maintain this agreement for the betterment of their scene. Sharkbrew will still act in the supporting role and we will be implementing a system to tackle fake/propaganda topics for the xLPC scene exclusively. WCOTM will be reintroduce din time

While plans for the merged wcotm/cotm system were under construction, @Lenin's personal obligations prevent the deployment of said tools beyond current reasonable expectations of release. As such, I will be reintroducing cotm starting next month. There will be some changes to the ruleset which I will also release before 1st of April, make sure you are familiar. COTM rules will be flexible and slightly vary month, which will also be available to discuss before they deploy. This was the original evidence as PM'd to me by Borzor. Upon speaking to Lenin regarding this matter, I discovered that majority of the evidence was suppressed as Lenin did not share any information about Fazing to Borzor nor did Lenin act on the subject matter. Moreover, Lenin proactively told Borzor to cease any hacking activities Further more, Lenin has managed to get the files on Fazing deleted. It is clear that Lenin was obviously pissed off at the beginning and the despicable act had crossed his mind. However despite not being pressured in anyway shape or form, Lenin decided not to carry out the hack out of his own volition. This demonstrates that if given space and time, Lenin can make the right decision. I understand that Lenin had a momentary lapse of judgement in the heat of the matter but rectified the issue. Thinking is not the same as doing it, however Lenin still let his emotions get the better out of him at the beginning. Therefore I believe this temporarily demotion is good enough punishment and considering the contribution Lenin has given to the pure community with GFX, clan site hosting, and generally helping everyone out with his technical abilities. Lastly I am forced to conclude that Borzor only leaked these logs because Lenin refused to join his clan. This matter will be closed off unless further evidences to the contrary is released.

I have received a unverified tip off indicating that one of my ranks had contacted a known community hacker, under the name of borzor, to hack a fellow member of the community. Sharkbrew does not tolerate such behavior by its ranks and he/she has been demoted pending further investigation

Trying to Get Clans To Fight Each Other... I'm going to keep this sort and sweet. Unfortunately due to some of the clans (lpc) poor leadership we've unfortunately had to cancel our Sharkbrew prep tourny due to a huge portion of the community not wanting to participate in fear of fighting their rivals or because they don't do clan wars in general. I want to give a shoutout to PX and SUP for being the only clans to have leaders with some backbone and not being scared to fight regardless of who they're put up against. FI: EOP: FOE: Wouldn't participate unless Apex participated (basically means no) Apex: Gave multiple notices and none of their ranks would respond. PX: SUP: AAO: MF: No response at all IR: Sadly, wanted preps at 8est and the participating clans don't want it at that time so..

It was brought to our attention that Phil, a Sharkbrew rank, had leaked an RL name of someone in another clan. Upon investigation, it was clear that he made the terrible judgement call in retaliation to a person leaking the details of his close RL friend. @Andy has spoken to the clan ranks who leaked the aforementioned details and we hope that the issue would be addressed shortly. Phil has apologized and we are closing this incident off with a warning. In regular circumstances, we do not condone DOXing on this site or by our ranks, however in light of present circumstances where DOXing seems to be gradually accepted by the community, @holydreams will be hosting an Ambassador meeting later this Thursday to clamp down on this issue. I would like to thank Andy for taking the lead in resolving this situation and Phil for coming clean for what he has done. We will not disclose the name of the clan who leaked Phil's details but we are grateful to said ranks for taking the complaint and acting on it
