Simple and straightforward. Teamspeak: Has been very useful for our scene but newer people are afraid of using it. Teamspeak has little to no updates and at times the community contributes more than the company with the skins, plugins etc. Discord: Getting popular. Free servers, better privacy, no IPs etc. Can replace IRC & TS3. Allows for integration. More clean. I prefer it to Teamspeak but not to IRC. Mayhem Makers Fanboy Posted October 19, 2017 Report Share Posted October 19, 2017 Irc is a dead medium, partly due to corrupt swiftirc ops leaking ips to clans like CI back in the day but also it's just inefficient to type in chatrooms now that nobody has dial up anymore. Teamspeak of course is good and the standard for pure clans, you can idle, chat, customize and manage the clan through it. Discord is good and I do like the timeline that allows you to scroll back through any chats that you missed. However not being able to check ip addresses is an issue for clans from an espionage aspect. As an admin you need to be able to run ips to make sure you're not being spied upon.
