Thoughts on this?

Idk when teleporting became accepted but it shouldn't be.

No teleporting = no more bitch clans crashing with low opts and teleporting out, longer fights and clusters because if you go in you have to hold your ground or get cleared, there is no tele out and rehit it from a better position option.

No teleporting rewards good intel and leadership and punishes poorly organised clans.

Return sets cost 0.1$

why are we not changing this?

Because other clans crash. Clans have alliances with others. 2v1 and then all the fake news and topics/propaganda. 

 

Why not just do clan wars instead of wilderness if you don’t want the option to teleport out?

It is a good point of discussion, teleporting on p2p trips (nobody really tps on f2p still which is good) generally became an issue around 2015(?) and was pretty much in response to being crashed by a clans' rival and not wanting to take a cheap L, or to do a quick hit and run. If you stay and die, it damages pride etc and another clan can claim a win.

Once ranks of clans stopped booting for teleing and also started promoting it for their advantage (teleing out of a fight, replenishing, rehitting) it seems to have become more mainstream and for some reason every clan has adopted that mentality since a glory is a click away.

 

Really it comes down to discipline and these mentalities;

-If clan A doesn't punish or boot for teleporting and clan B does, clan B loses members if they tele from fights and clan A continues in as normal.

-If I dont tele, I'm most likely going to lose to the crasher and that's not fair, ergo that inflicts damage on my pride.

You'd have to get every clan to concurrently agree to discipline against teleporting before much progress can be made because it seems no longer frowned upon, but more so praised by the larger population of the community.

Consider this scenario.

 

Foe and Rage have a clean 1v1 60vs60. Foe win the fight with 35 left to Rage's 10, and Foe are in the process of cleaning it up. Outrage (rivals) come and crash with 60. With no teleporting allowed, Foe's 35 get cleared/scramble due to the numbers difference.

Is that personally a win for people in Foe? And is this a meaningless W for Outrage? If it was Outrage vs Rage and Foe were the crashers, the result would also be the same, just different shows on the feet.

 

There's too much weight on a victory and what is considered a victory nowadays IMO, and the current clan wars climate showcases that spectacularly.

That last sentence is very true and I think it's a big issue with clanning.

It's Ironic because many people have a "2019 clanning is a joke idc anymore" mentality when in fact we take this shit so seriously that clanning lost a lot of it's good qualities.

Never going to happen. If the community can't even agree as a whole to stop bringing mains to trips or strip training defence and keeping it clean, THERES NO WAY IN HELL TELEPORTING WILL BE ABOLISHED.

Most of these virgins leading clans has a better chance of getting laid than to ever do anything of the above. It's sad and goes to show how seriously grown people take this old arse game.
