If you are currently a member in Legacy i suggest you to leave their clan ASAP. they do not only ddos and scam but they also DOX their own members. very sad from main clan legacy.

This tbh.

Im against ddosing and doxing members of rival clans just to get an edge over them, but if youre gonna leak, you know damn well people are going to retaliate. If you dont wana get snaked, try not being a snake.

if you think doxing someone their irl and posting their family pictures is a good retaliaton for ingame actions that didnt hurt anybody individually outside of the game then there is something wrong with your priorities you have irl. its like being okay for giving lifelong prison for stealing a candy.

If you're wanting a practice that 90% of clans (not just Legacy) use to deal with people who sell themself for $2 an hour then you'd need to do more than a topic. You'd be looking for a while to find a clan that doesn't dox or ddos leaks/rats.

Gonna have to work on some alternate solutions if this common method is now to be outlawed, but it would probably help sharkbrew and their stance on doxing if they didn't let their discord become a breeding ground for irl leaks and attacks first.

Murd, in all honesty you need to stop. No one on our staff team allows for this kind of nonsense to happen, and we take it pretty seriously when instances of doxing occur. The fact that you think that we even allow this type of behavior on our platform shows how little you know and how much effort and time it takes to keep people like this out of our channels and forums.

The reality of this situation is that it's become so entrenched into the community's behavior that everyone thinks it's acceptable to attack each other without actually understanding the real world ramifications, dangers and consequences their actions can bring. Also to add to the point that this isn't a situation where a random member from a clan behaved in rash fashion and was booted from the clan, this was an instance of clan leaders normalizing this behavior in front of all of their members. The difference is that this can create a top-down power vacuum where leadership essentially holds their members hostage with aggressive behavior, and normalizes this behavior in front of their members which in turn will show no regard for others and begin to believe that this sort of behavior is acceptable. And how do you think other clans are going to respond? They're going to respond in like-fashion, which is bad for this community and bad for existing player retention.

You need to cut out this "SharkBrew mods is bias" bullshit out and actually take a look at what's happening.

You should probably look over the campfire channel on discord some time. It may be insinuating that sharkbrew mods are bias, but it's not. It's more so insinuating that many tend to give up on or only give out minimal consequences for irl related attacks on people, or talk of ddos (and they seem to only take action against a very small percentage of it, and favour using slowmode instead of taking action).

I opened campfire this morning and saw many mods online, but people comfortably talking about each others fat mothers, irl situation, appearance, employment, and no consequences as a result. Are you confident in saying sharkbrew staff are doing their best at dealing with the irl leaking and ddos threats that people in the community are using against eachother, and that it actually is not a daily occurance on discord?

I can't speak for the other staff members and moderators, but I'm confident in my abilities that I am taking every available step and precaution to combat this sort of behavior, and continue to do so on a daily basis. Unfortunately I'm human, so I can't be around 24 hours of every day making sure that people are adhering to our standards, which is why we have additional staff members. Getting everyone on the same page is a constant evolution, new situations crop up, and stuff falls through the cracks. It should not be a regular revolving issue, and if it's getting to that point, we need help from the users of the community to make sure that these situations are being dealt with in fair and just fashion.

So, if you see any of this happening, and something isn't being addressed, I am asking you to please get in touch with one of us and we will look at the situation seriously. Given the problems over the last 24 hours, I've had to scramble my staff team and bring up multiple discussions about this type of behavior to make sure everyone is on the same page. Because of this I'm taking up a fair bit of their time making sure that we have the tools to address these problems. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, PLEASE SAY SOMETHING.

If you're talking about Muay from legacy being kicked, thats exactly what happened. He leaked and got booted and had shared irl pics of which there was one of posted in our discord at the time he was kicked. haven't seen it in there myself since. idk if any ddossing went down

imo if an irl address or ip is posted/hit off then its serious. Any photo dox could be literally anyone in the world, unless its a personal ID card wtf does it matter? And if you care about people seeing what you look like, eh s'insecure, but ok dont post/send pics??

Again, you are reading beyond the scope of this topic trying to nit pick at what Sharkbrew does again. There's a difference between clandestinely doing all these activities to weed out spies, vs actively shouting about it in what appears to be a public teamspeak channel ordering members to stay in the clan. Guess which other clan does this? ROT. And look how amazing the main scene that everyone is clamoring to join.

Also breeding ground which you also happily partake, but whine and cry when we ban you for it. Get off your fucking high horse

Along with rot you should probably add rage, foe, sup, fi, zenith, kg to the list of clans/communities that have been involved in nh actions against leaks or people in other clans.

And just to add, using a scapegoat of attacking "your high horse" to deflect discourse of the greater issue at hand just enables it to continue!!!

Everyone also knows the pure scene is on par with the main scene in toxicity. People need to stop being so toxic/nh and in this community, there shouldn't be such a gray line of what is accepted. If staff say irl related stuff is bad, it should be bad and we shouldn't see people leaking irl information via flamewars on a near daily basis.

You fail to understand that this is 2020, and a photo is enough to reveal a whole lake of information about people. You can plug a photo of someone into a search engine and have the opportunity to find social media accounts, which can more times than not lead to finding out where someone lives, where they work, how to contact them, etc. While it might be your personal responsibility to take precautions to protect yourself, it doesn’t change the fact that there are psychopaths that become obsessed with attacking people to the point of ruining their relationships, career prospects, and much more. The whole point of this argument is that there can be very real, and very dangerous consequences to this behavior, which very clearly seems lost on you at this moment.

The world isn’t private anymore, and there are some real shit stains on the internet that will bend over backwards to ruin someone’s life. People in the PvP community have been attacked. There have been people that have been killed from being SWATed by some angsty teenager on a fucking video game. This isn’t about posting “what someone looks like.” This is about preventing others from being harmed by nutjobs who think it’s acceptable to upend someone else’s life over a game. Your entire argument is flawed, and dangerously so. Maybe you need to reconsider your thoughts.

There have been people that have been legitimately killed from being SWATed by some angsty teenager on a fucking video game. thats fair, imo take precautions and its all g. I'd say as long as you dont list your RSN on social media/in a picture of yourself no one can 100% prove you're the player of a RS/Discord account. And if you allow that to happen you accepted the risks, knowingly or unknowingly.

Gotta start an some kind of anti dox union between the communities if you really want it to end - which will likely never happen b/c of grudges and snakes
