Kicker got a reaction from Lime in What happened to the pure clan scene? Here's what it was like in 2010..
Back in the day when I was relatively active in pure clanning during the 2009-2013 era the community was thriving. If you weren't around back then or don't remember, I'll list some of the things that were different. Hopefully some of you will read this topic and try to revive the pure community back to its glory days.

Pure clans understood that competition is a good thing and wouldn't plant spies in every clan just to crash every fight with the goal to close them. There was no hatred or bad blood, rivalries were built upon a deep respect for each other after so many well fought battles.
For the most part, there was a mutual respect for two clans that were already in a fight. And not this crash party nonsense that happens today. Rune pure clans like Valhalla and Higher Force would anti crash for pure clans that were fighting. The rune pure clans were like brother clans to the pure clans. Whenever a member of MM got defense they would be sent to HF; and Valhalla for FOE.
If you teleported during a 1v1 fight or during an official trip you would be kicked from most clans. MM, FOE, FI, TLP had strict no teleing rules.
It wasn't this propaganda bullshit where clans would fight for 3 minutes, take a screenshot, then tele to edge and spam at each other. Pure clans would actually return and fight for hours until the fight was really over. When a clan won or lost they knew it and accepted it graciously because they had fun in the long fight - which was the most important thing.
There were large and medium sized clan brackets. Large clans like MM, FOE, TLP, FI, EOP mostly fought eachother and respected the medium clans like Carnage, CPR, E, CP, Malice, IR, and CY and let them have their fights together. Nowadays the large clans just crash the medium sized clans the first chance they get - which demoralizes the smaller clans and causes them to close. That means less competition for all clans in the long run. Being the biggest clan isn't always the best thing if you can't find any fights and have to resort to crashing everyone.
There was a huge f2p scene. Red vs Blue events sponsored by pure warefare forums (similar to sharkbrew) had 700+ pures all fighting. CY + FOE + E + DP + TLP + MG VS MM + FI + EOP + M + CP + IR + AX
