it's just another aspect of the game with all the changes made to rs especially the higher lvl prayers here's valid reasons to play a med or a maxed account.  imo the true beta move is to take those unfair advantages to the pure community they are two different tiers of play and in this day and age when pure clans are relying heavily on mains during weekend trips that's what destroys the scene

how so ? do you need a maxed main to join most of these clans? are thre noncombat or other misc requirements besides a 120+ account (which imo is less time consuming than maxing a pure)

I am asking as an experienced pure clanner with 0 knowledge of the main clan scene. How does it compare in terms of activity, competitiveness, time requirements and overall experience ? Obviously this won't apply if you have no experience with pure clans as a comparison. Which main clans are considered top tier in this era? What are the typical requirements for joining

Like others have said it depends on your interests 

 

FOE would be the best pure clan in terms of sheer numbers and wilderness performance 

Apex has the best record for matched ops clan wars events 

FI has one of the best communities in terms of active forums / discord etc

 

most of the others fall short as serious clans IMO but many of the smaller clans are more active on midweeks. 

In terms of activity in midweeks it will depend HIGHLY on your time zone. If that's important to you make sure you find a group that's active when you are.
