  1. Doubtful. People would most likely use fire blasts and range. And I'm sure a lot of people would use mith-rune scims. And even if they do? So what. It's all about fun, which many people seem to have forgotten. People have lower HP and still do damage. Percentage wise it doesn't differ much from LPC clanning in F2P when we're looking at HP and damage hits. In the LPC scene clans hit higher, but have more hp. In the uLPC scene people hit less (even though fire blasts can hit 16) and have less HP. So it really evens it out. In fact I dare to say it's harder to tank 3-4 people in F2P in the uLPC scene than it is in the LPC scene, where people have pray and a higher HP lvl.
  2. There you go ! Hope you enjoy Justin Bieber, as requested !
  3. I don't believe I even included those 2. Those are, I believe, already existing W308 teams. I stated that there are already 3~ W308 teams in the 30-45 combat range. I know NBK is one of those already existing teams.
  4. Currently there are 2 teams/clans ready to open, and there are 2 interested individuals who are willing to create a team for the new uLPC scene! Join in on the fun! There are a lot of people willing to create a pure for the scene!

I'm still looking for 2-4 more team-/clan-leaders to get the ball rolling! Bear in mind that there are already 3~ unofficial W308 pking teams in the F2P 30-45 combat bracket! PM me or click on the link below for more information.

  5. Without proper rules and teamwork regarding upholding said rules the current scenes won't become better. Implementing stricter rules into the xLPC and LPC won't work, because a lot of ranks in a couple of clans would protest heavily. Hence it might be better to start freshly at the bottom, without forcing anything on the xLPC and LPC scene. We can all agree that our current LPC scene has turned into a rather terrible scene in which mains, doxing, ddosing, and hacking are the norm. All because of a couple of clans and individuals. If clan leaders in the majority of the LPC's aren't willing to co-operate regarding this pestilence I see no hope for the LPC scene. The xLPC scene seems to be in a much better shape, but mains and tanks are already infesting that scene. Luckily a couple of xLPC's are working together in order to deal with said pestilence. But as you and I both know this depends on the mindset of the ranks. If they're not ready to uphold a few rules by working together (yes even when they're in a rivalry) the current pure community is doomed. You have the power to influence the clan you're representing, to make things better. I greatly respect you, but I haven't seen you make an effort to do so. I also feel it's not my job to do so, since I'm not in any clan, I'm an outsider. Sure, I can state my opinion, but words are just words if clan ranks won't take action. It only takes a couple of good conversations with all clan leaders involved, just like in the golden days, where all clans upheld a shared mindset of honour. A mindset that frowned upon crashing, about bringing mains, about ddosing and hacking. This mindset has disappeared, in our current era the mindset of "adapt or die" and "an eye for an eye" is maintained by most clans, making it even worse. Like I've said: start with your own clan and work together with other ranks if you want to make things better. Obviously the current mindset is failing miserably, it has, and will not improve enjoyment. If all it has made people enjoy clanning less. Now onto your other points. Everybody knows that people multi-clan in this community, some prefer to join a xLPC as well, but others prefer to stick with their LPC. This might surprise you, but there are people who would actually prefer to join a uLPC instead of a xLPC or LPC clan, because they have fond memories of clanning at a very low level. They simply couldn't, because there isn't an official scene, because individuals like you ridicule it. The main purpose of this scene would be to try and go back to the roots of pure clanning, which many people crave, even when they won't admit that. The second point would be to get new blood in this scene, because many pures start(ed) as low levelled pures. This is how the majority started pure clanning. In the end it's all about fun, which many people have forgotten. Clanning was all about honourable action, as you and I both know, and less about loot. And besides.. It's not up to you or me to decide if people should or shouldn't attend trips in three scenes. If they want to do so, let them. This scene would simply give more options to people and could potentially lead to a steady flow into the other scenes. Regarding the low combat bracket. Sure, I acknowledge that any team/clan would outlevel the cap in 1-2 days if they actively train their accounts. However, if they stop training at, let's say 38 combat, and only 'train' their accounts via multi pking, they can remain in the scene for a long time. Teams and clans could then decide whether they want to join the xLPC scene or train a new account if they want to remain in the scene. You do not speak for everybody regarding the motivation of people to train a new low combat pure. In fact, lots of people train new accounts all the time, and improve their pure in the LPC. While I agree that there are many rotten apples in this community I believe it's in the hands of clan ranks. Clan ranks hold the power to improve things and to abide by the rules, even in tense rivalries. It has worked in the past, again, even with intense rivalries. It can work again if clan ranks work together and agree on the rules. I will try to make sure that all team/clan ranks who want to be involved are on the same page by inviting them in a discord channel, where they can stay and discuss matters. However, in the end it's up to them to uphold the rules. Like I've said above: the changing mindset is what 'cursed' the pure community. Rather than thinking: "let's deal with this clan in-game together, with the help of Sharkbrew" people these days think it's better to copy clans who are ruining the pure community, making it even worse. Again: it's in the hands of the ranks. The right mindset amongst ranks could create a better pure communnity, that is enjoyable for all, or at least the majority. You can PM me to keep in touch (also via discord, I'm in the Skarkbrew discord). I believe this to be true as well. We all started as pures with a very low combat.
  6. Yet I haven't seen any clans make such an attempt since pre-eoc. All I'm saying is that tanks aren't that effective at a low lvl. Combine that with teams and clans teaming to clear crashers (in this case mains). In this current era pure clans don't stop to clear crashers or mains. I also believe that the uLPC scene would have smaller fights going on in its early stages.
  7. It's also super easy to fire blast 'tanks' with 4-5 people at this level. If all team-/clan-ranks agree to team against individuals or team against teams/clans who bring mains it wouldn't become such a huge issue like it is in the xLPC and LPC scene. Clans in those scenes don't really work together regarding this matter. In those scenes clan ranks usually think "adapt or die" or "an eye for an eye", thus the problem remains. It's just as easy to bot up a tank for the xLPC by the way (and way more efficient).
  8. Would you be willing to try it out during a planned test trip with all the teams and clans involved? To be a part of a team or create a team with friends?
  9. Currently there are 2 interested and capable people who are willing to create a team for the new uLPC scene! Join in on the fun! Yes I’m keen depending on what time this scene is!

    3. Drvgon

      Drvgon

No point in this lol people will just level out the bracket in 5 trips.

    4. Sandra

If teams and clans don't actively train, and only 'train' via multi trips they can remain in the scene for a long time. And besides, it takes 4-5 hours to make a lvl 38-40~. There are people who are willing to do this.

  10. That's the spirit ! Would you want to be a member in a clan or help create a team or clan for this scene with friends? Currently there are two people interested and capable of creating a team for this scene. I would need 2-4 more people who are willing to create their team or clan with friends. Great to hear! Especially seeing as OSRS mobile will launch in the near future. I expect a lot of newly created low levelled pure accounts. There are a lot of 30's and 40s at edge. Pk'ing would indeed be different. I expect a lot of blasting, binding and ranging, but less melee. It would only take a couple of hours yes ! Hence it would be easy to maintain the combat bracket. Would you be interested in joining a team or creating one with friends? Currently there are two people interested and capable of creating a team for this scene. I would need 2-4 more people who are willing to create their team or clan with friends. This could be implemented for the whole community, without brackets. All clans and teams can join it.
  11. I'm definitely thinking that friday is indeed a good day, saturday as well (a little bit before or after the xLPC and LPC trip times perhaps). I also want to promote weekly pk'ing trips at a set time the team-/clan-leaders agree upon. Currently there are two people who are inerested in creating a team.
  12. Yet there are many low levelled pures in this combat range pking. Like I've said before: it would stimulate a flow from one scene into another. A lot of people actually enjoy low level pking (below 50-60).
  13. There wouldn't be much difference really if you look at the percentages. People have lower HP and hit lower, in the LPC scene people have higher HP and hit higher. In the end it's all about having fun, which many people seem to have forgotten.
  14. Only if people would actively train. And besides, you could recreate an account in 3-10 hours.
  15. Got a level 36 pure with 40 range and 59 magic ! It only took me 25 mins to write this Maaku.
  16. I think most people on Sharkbrew 'waste' more time by trolling and/or posting pointless stuff on a daily basis than the time it took me to write this (25~ minutes).
  17. Let's hope there are still people left that care about having fun action packed fights. I'm sure most people don't mind losing 20-30k now and then! They indeed would be close to the xLPC scene, but this would create a flow of individuals, clans and teams who could move up the xLPC scene. Back in the golden these there were no 'scenes', there were just clans who competed with their rivals, but clans were a lot more motivated to climb the ladder (Epidemic being the best example). Perhaps this will stimulate, and motivate clans who whish to start as a uLPC to proceed to the xLPC and finally the LPC scene. Overlapping isn't necessarily a bad thing seeing as it creates a flow from one scene into another. Like I've said above in answer to Dull's comment: back in the older days smaller clans could get hit by bigger and stronger clans. There was 1 scene for a very long time before other scenes were introduced. Back in the day, unlike now, clans were actually willing to climb the ladder (starting as a low levelled pure clan, but ending as a higher levelled pure clan). To improve themselves by fighting and beating better fishes along the way (Epidemic being a good example). Your last point seems to be the most vailid point for this pure community, a community in which most people multi clan. However, I'm sure there are people who don't wish to invest many hours into a pure for the LPC or xLPC scene, because they lack the time. This scene would also be a scene for new fresh blood, and going back to my earlier statement, this scene could create a flow for newer people into the xLPC and LPC scene eventually.
  18. Thanks for your honest reply Lionel. Multi clanning has, in most people's eyes, always been about action, and less about loot. So I don't see an issue with people using addy scims and people being 50 range. Remember, most clans started as lvl 40's; Epidemic and NME won't re-open, ex-members are still around though; I've attended a couple pure events in the last months as a clan friend, and what I saw shocked me (in some cases more mains than pures, mass teleporting and mass crashing); I'm in no way telling people how it should be done, even though I can understand that it seems that way. This is a suggestion, a proposal. Many people that have experienced the older days of clanning will agree that a lot has changed, for worse. Who knows! The RAW list would be implemented and moderated by Gatekeepers if the pure community wants it again and the rules get fleshed out.

  21. Dear Pure Community, At the end of 2014 and the start of 2015 the second wave of LPC clanning started with the help of IVP. More than 5 new clans were created to give the pure community a boost. Now, 4 years later, I propose the start of a new wave of pure clans and teams that will help increase the current pure community. However, this time around it will focus on ultra-low levelled pure clans (uLPC), capped at 30-45 combat and 1-3 defence and 1 pray. This new scene will focus on F2P and will be built on the old foundations of pure clanning. A foundation that started to rot before the introduction of EOC in 2012. In our current era this foundation has started to crumble, the walls have collapsed. I therefore propose the creation of a new scene, a pure clanning renaissance that focusses primarily on honour and purity. As most of you know W308 is filled with low levelled pures, ready to PK. It is in this light that I saw more opportunities. Opportunities to create a fun new scene based on pure action and old-fashioned fun. As most of you know the xLPC scene is brimmed with action, but there are many individuals within the 30-45 combat range that are looking for (multi) action. At the moment of writing there are a handful of clans and teams that PK on a daily basis within this combat range, and other than a lot of fun, this scene could bring a lot of new blood and action to the xLPC and LPC scene in the near future. What am I proposing? A new clanning scene for people, clans and teams who want to PK at a lower combat, primarily for Wilderness action and fun; A new clanning scene for clans and teams who can participate in weekly Pure Clan League (PCL) events on Friday in Clan Wars; A new clanning scene for clans and teams who want to participate in monthly fun events (red vs blue, fire strike wars, iron or bronze wars, snowball fights, rune 2h fights, and so on); The reintroduction of the Ranks by Warring (RAW) list in the pure community to stimulate full outs in F2P and P2P (in Clan Wars) with a clan that is 1 rank higher than you; A new clanning scene for people that hunger for a scene with more honour, based on the following rules that will be supported and respected by Sharkbrew: Crashing, losing and/or topics with fake-endings won’t be allowed on Sharkbrew. They will be removed; The last clan/team standing wins (this needs to be proven via video); Clans/teams that participate in this scene will be allowed to team upon crashing clans/teams for the duration of the fight; A clan/team that breaks the bracket rule (30-45 combat with 1-3 def and 1 pray) will be removed from Sharkbrew via the current dispute system (4/4 disputes and you’re out) and will be dealt with accordingly in-game (starving them from any action, and if needed: team-upon said clan/team) by all clans/teams who agreed upon the rules until such a clan/team adjusts back to the norm, in which case they will be allowed to post topics again on Sharkbrew; A clan/team that actively uses illegal activities (doxing, ddosing and hacking) will be removed from Sharkbrew after reliable evidence via a warning system (three strikes and you’re out); Clans/teams that participate in this scene won’t be allowed to teleport during fights vs other clans/teams in this scene. A clan/team that breaks this rule will be removed from Sharkbrew via the current dispute system (4/4 disputes and you’re out) and will be dealt with accordingly in-game (starving them from any action, and if needed: team-upon said clan/team) by all clans/teams who agreed upon the rules until such a clan/team adjusts back to the norm, in which case they will be allowed to post topics again on Sharkbrew. What can YOU do? I’m inviting anybody and everybody who wants to get involved in turning this proposal into a reality. If you’ve been thinking about creating a clan over the last few months (or ever, for that matter), now is the PERFECT time to do so. Gather some friends on IRC or discord and get the ball rolling! The goal of this new scene is to bring fun and honour back in the game at a lower level, but also to create a steady flow of new pure clanners who can end up in the xLPC and/or LPC scene. If you’re interested be sure to pm @Sandra and/or @slushpuppy on Sharkbrew. If enough people are interested a second topic will be created soon with clan/team names and their contact information. Currently there are two teams/clans ready to open, and there are 2 individuals who are interested and capable of creating a team for this scene! I'm looking for at least 2-4 more team-/clan-leaders who are willingly to create their own team or clan. There are already 3~ W308 teams in this combat range who are multi pking. PM me and/or @slushpuppy to inform us about your intentions. Thanks for reading!
  22. Times have changed. Sure, 1-20 was the meta pre-eoc and pre-39 defence, but hardly anybody was fully maxed in 2009-2010 (let alone in 2006), meaning the averages were quite a bit lower than today. If 1-20 def gets re-implemented it'll lead to 30-39 def eventually because of the higher levels and mains, and people will get sick of that again. So it wouldn't be long before people would go back to 1-5 defence. If you want a fun and active community with the least amount of brown sticky stuff going on, clan ranks will have to return to the mindset of 2006-2010; they'll have to work together more often, sometimes even with rival clans. Instead of thinking: "they're bringing mains, lets do the same", "they're ddosing and hacking us, let's do the same" you should find and work together with other clans to counter said clan(s) in a proper in-game fashion. Don't give those clans action anymore. Don't allow them to post on Sharkbrew anymore. Team on said clans when they continue bringing mains and doing other no-honour stuff. But keep it in-game and on the forums. Keep real life out of it and illegal activities as well. Don't be like that clan. Don't think "an eye for an eye", because if you do, you'll also be a part of the problem. Sharkbrew should also play a crucial and vital role. Rules should be implemented for a combat and defence cap. Clans who break said cap won't be allowed to post topics. Other clans will have to work together to combat said clans. Don't give them any action, team on them if need be as I've said. Clan ranks hold the power, and together with a little bit of help from Sharkbrew a better community could be realised again. With room for good banter and in-game rivalries, and sure.. once in a while a heated flamewar that stays in-game. But I guess it's too late for that in this "we don't give a brown sticky stuff" and "adapt or die" era, where having fun doesn't seem to be the main priority anymore. In the end you should ask yourself the following two questions: what are you fighting for, and what are you playing for?

  24. Will it become a vicious circle? Get 20-39 def, return to 1 def, max out, get 20-39 def, return to 1 def...
