after maxing your combat stats and your offensive stats, there is really nowhere to go to improve, getting 30def gets you alot of offensive armors, rune gloves, addy defender, 3rd age etc although i feel turm may be released one day so your fucking yourself over if you do it at this moment in time

 

turm was never that great of a boost for the cb lvls involved

 

30def is imo more prioritised by rangers because of the armors you unlock, snakeskin, addy, more str bonus

20def is imo more prioritised by magers because mystic has similar stats to anyother high level mage armor

1def is for 1v1 pking etc

this is my opinion but yakno

I wouldnt say to go as far as 40def though as that brown sticky stuff is way too tanky when 30def is relatively easy to kill

additional 20 or so def levels brings a minimum of 7 extra combat levels for very little more damage output. The point of low def pure is to maximize dmg for a low combat level, not to make it fair in a 1v1 vs 1 def pures or anything. Besides i think most maxed 20 defs do have trouble competing once u hit the 90 combat ranges

Aye I wouldn't go as far as 40 that brown sticky stuff is expensive every main clan knows not to fuck with pures because they offer brown sticky stuff loot, 30def is cheap offers addy defender and rune gloves and that's pretty foking strong IMO compared to 20def considering you get addy gloves at 13def and defender at 20 when you get 30 the gloves and defender are only a couple of levels apart and u get strong rag armour also
