  1. Yeah it's pretty much impossible to create an accurate one. At the start of OSRS I was thinking about keeping an updated database with clan members (including invites and such) and then sitting at lumbridge on a level 3 scanning for new players appearing and doing a clan lookup so that I could keep track of deaths but then I quit. Clans just bitched about it anyway, it just made the clans that lost and posted fake wins sad.
  2. I don't think RuneScape will ever leave my life

  3. My RuneScape reputation defines me.
  4. With F2P coming back, the game (and the wilderness) will (should) thrive again, at least for 6 months or so. Any cunning 'LPCs' will stay 1 defence, keep as low combat as possible and take advantage of the F2P 1-20 wilderness like clans used to. Sure, if you're an 'LPC' and make the decision to go and wait in single for 30 second fights that get crashed against clans with maxed 20 defence accounts, you're gonna have a bad time. The most fun I've ever had on RuneScape was just pking on weekdays with Calamity and Control, mostly in F2P with 20-30 people (and sometimes, other established pure clans would gather up 20-30 people and we'd get a classic clan fight too). Pure clanning has been broken for many years, you don't need to be infamous or gain respect from other clans to stay alive. Focus too much on how people on this forum view your clan and you miss the point.
  5. F2P is coming back? If so I'll probably start playing again (which is a negative effect on clans cause I'll get all the kill messages in f2p run ins).
  6. Would have been a fantastic idea 7 or 8 years ago, no way it would work out now though. Back when I still played, people cheated in preps/mini-wars even when there was nothing at risk.
  7. Based on strength and impact over time 1. Mayhem Makers 2. Fatality 3. Final Ownage Elite 4. Eruption of Pures 5. Epidemic 6. Corrupt Pures 7. The Last Pures 8. Destructive Pures 9. Intense Redemption 10. Control Honourable mentions The Hatred - Had a strong peak and were good for their time but didn't make my top 10. If I were to make this list completely unbiased and removed Control, they'd be #10. Freelancers - Left their mark on the pure community. Devastation - Reached a mighty peak in P2P but I remember fighting them quite often in F2P, and they never quite made much of an impact. Felt like that was down to their members not really liking F2P. NME - Would also have been a contender for #10 but I would attribute much of their success to Epidemic so it didn't seem right including E and NME.
  8. If you could pick just one moment to re-live, what would it be? Mine would have to be this, just because of the bantz that surrounded it:
  9. Insane Pures, early 2006. #Yolo
  10. CT going out both times and killing all clans. Good luck.
  11. I don't think it would be fair to count p server clans, I didn't do this with the original numbers. The idea was to sum up the amount of possible participants on weekend trips.
  12. So in late 2010 and early 2011, I decided to collect some information about the size of the pure community so that the impact of re-introducing the wilderness could be documented. When I refer to the 'pure community' in this thread, I'm referring to the total amount of members of each clan that participated in saturday/sunday trips (excluding masser clans with no ML). Here are the numbers: 30 December 2010 - 1,182 members in the pure community. 23 February 2011 - 1,411 members in the pure community. It would be interesting to see what these numbers are like now, I have no idea what clans are open so I wouldn't be able to compile a list like this. Even if it's just a guess, does anybody have any figures? 13. I don't seem to recall sanctioning this! Back to ISIS with you Leech!
