Maxx got a reaction from Wardy in Guide: How to start doing GFX from scratch (heavily outdated)
How to start doing GFX?
The actual first step of getting into GFX is downloading the software you need. This is a step many people don't even know how to take so here is what you do.
If you have enough money IRL you can hire the complete adobe pack wich includes: Photoshop, After effects, Premiere and many more for around 70$ a year.
If you do not want to pay at all i suggest you go crack it wich is more effort and more risky but it is free.
Step 1:
Go to torrentz.eu and search for Photoshop CC crack, Photoshop cs6 if you have a 32 bit computer.
This is a possible link you could get: http://www.torrentfunk.com/torrent/8736889/adobe-photoshop-cc-2014-64-bit-crack-chingliu.html
If you do not trust me you can go look it up yourself.
You will need bittorrent or utorrent to download this.
Step 2:
Your download will most likely include a folder with a text file in it with clear instructions of what to do step by step.
Follow these steps and you will end up cracking it.
Be careful if it looks suspicious, try finding another download.
Step 3:
Now you have photoshop, you can start doing GFX.
I suggest you look ALOT of tutorials.
YouTubers that helped me out:
https://www.youtube.com/user/CallMeRatedx
https://www.youtube.com/user/Whismurrr
https://www.youtube.com/user/SesOHQ
https://www.youtube.com/user/TheGraphicsFlow
Step 4:
Practice ALOT with the things you've learned from the tutorials.
I suggest making free graphics for friends so you get to practice alot and do something nice for them too.
Make sure you have the right materials, i will be making a topic about that soon with links to sources you should check out.
Also make sure you post your work on sharkbrew so people can give you feedback wich will help you improve alot.
Step 5:
Once you mastered for example a type of GFX such as RS clan graphics it is very important that you keep challenging yourself.
Step out of your comfort zone and try to experiment with new types of GFX maybe even with different software such as cinema 4d or Illustrator.
And always with every piece of GFX you make take your skills to the next level.
Tips that work for me:
When designing make sure none is bothering you, close your TS for a sec put your mobile on silence create a wall around you untill you're done.
This will help your creative mind flow better. (I've actually read books about this.)
Watch others make GFX on youtube, look at speedarts this will inspire you to make something yourself.
Make sure you switch your sources once in a while, You don't want to design for years with the same flares , stocks etc.
Hope this helps some people out!

Says the guy who had a sig made for him stating that he's "supreme" when he prides himself in being a member of a second rate clan who spent it's entire existence trying to get in the top 5 but never made it because they kept getting destroyed by a clan that calls itself "Zerg Unit"
What a joke.

We are at 13 empires at the moment from members of RD/BV/EOP/ZU:
http://www.sharkbrew.com/promisance
This is a turn based strategy game. You are responsible for creating an empire while managing your economy and military. You can attack people to conquer their land or to destroy their economy. Empires can form clans with other empires, and declare war on other clans. Unlike Runescape, clans cannot hide in single any more .
It is a fairly relaxing game and can easily be played while you are doing AFK tasks such as NMZ.
Update: 24 empires now!!
