  1. Hopefully the loss of the 'streak' doesn't damage FOE too much. Great win for RD, good job all involved.
  2. The clan I'll be creating and subsequently leading; I'm not part of any clans at the moment and haven't been for years
  3. The first clan I led Epidemic started as a low level clan and eventually became a HPC in around a year. The second clan I led NME started as a low level clan and eventually became a HPC in around a year. For my next clan I hope to follow the winning formula.
  4. Nice sentiment, was fun to follow the back and forth flaming on Sharkbrew Goodluck to all Trauma members
  5. Haha What clan are you in and who are you in said clan?
  6. Thinking about impact on the community at large, theres only a few clans that could make waves by opening As for personal preference, a clan in the same mold as Epidemic/Enemy with a new name/rank team would be cool, also liked DP who I think would do well. As for clans closing, probably none of them the pure community is pretty thin at the moment in terms of numbers of clans, despite there being a few out there who are on their last legs
  7. From mainly now and into the next month or two, i don't see much changing. How I think it will go considering nothing huge changes (new clans opening/clans closing etc) Mainly using F2P as a guide here, with a sprinkle of P2P Bracket A 1.) EOP - Seem much more stable with higher pulls, and don't seem to be floundering too much. With EOP however history has shown that can switch incredibly quickly, but for the time being theyre doing well. The only clan capable of catching them right now is probably FOE and the more time passes, the more difficult it'll become. 2.) FOE - Can see them slowing down now that the initial "FOE REOPENING!!" hype is slowing down, and I don't think they will be able to put themselves in a position where they are within reach of #1, at least in F2P. If the 'prep streak' ends, I think it'll be a snowball effect into inner clan turmoil that will impact them badly. The staff got gifted everything they could possibly want on a silver platter, it'd be a shame if that went to waste. 3.) RD - Can manage to get momentum rolling fairly quickly, are a good clan matched, and are pulling good numbers to weekend trips. Hopefully they can maintain it. If FOE fall further in the F2P server I think RD will be able to overtake them if the pulls they are having hold up 4.) FI - Seem to dip up and down but can't see them falling below here, whilst still being able to make a push for any of the above spots given the right circumstances. 5.) TLP - Have seemed to be the perpetual and archetypal 'mid tier' clan in terms of pulls and impact for almost their entire existence, I think because they've been sitting at around #5 for years and years that they accept that and stay there which is a shame as when they were said to be reopening I was hoping they'd finally break that mold. Can't see them rising too many spots above for any significant frame of time, and can't see them falling too many below, either. 6.) SUP - Had a brief flurry a few months back where they were doing quite good, but I dare say stuff like Imperial and a general lack of ambition has slowed them down. Hopefully they begin challenging clans such as Fi and RD to more competitive fights in both the wilderness and CW to take advantage of a jump in activity 7.) CP - The effects of the entire CV merge and staff team debacle still hangs over you guys, and I don't think the current selection of staff are doing the best job at getting you guys back to relevance in terms of upper echelon competition. Lost alot of support inside CP's own community and are seen as a bit of a joke at the moment, but hopefully that'll change. 8.) ZU - At one point they considered themselves one of the best clans matched but I think relied on that too heavily, and ever since they lost a few preps haven't quite been the same. Pulls are fairly low right now but i've got faith they can bring it back. 9.) LT - Seem to have the occasional big pull but really don't capitalize on it very much, and have very little preps/midweek activity. Bracket B 1.) Trauma - Decent clan could probably make the jump to the other bracket (If multiclanning was a non existent thing) but thats a different topic; decent pulls and good levels. 2.) Imperial - Seem to be pretty close to Trauma in terms of 'clan power', and despite probably protesting the opposite, is pretty much the doppelganger of them. Both have loads of multi clanners, similar levels, similar paths in terms of history. #1/#2 is probably interchangeable. 3.) Olympus - Good clan, have little multiclanners (from my understanding) and can pull big, just need the organisation and foresight to be able to set goals to attain. #1 in Bracket B should be their realistic goal. 4.) Conviction - Sometimes go out, sometimes don't, seem to have a loyal member base though with a lack of multi clanners so would be cool to see them trying to grow as Olympus should be, into #1 in Bracket B. 5.) Chaotic - Are genuinely low levelled which needn't be a burden in terms of fighting the clans above, simply get more numbers to negate the levels (Like every successful level capped low level clans have done in history). I can see their levels rocketing at some point almost like a light switch, if they live that long. 6.) AAO - A legendary older pure clan, hopefully they are intelligent about it and only stay in the quicksand that is Bracket B for as long as is needed to become a true contender of Bracket A. 7.) Tier 1 - New clan on the block and have yet to prove themselves but seem to be doing good right now, depending on the momentum can probably have some good competition with the above two cans. 8.) Remedy/Vendetta/et ceteras I can see a few clans opening or reopening so alot will change, but as it stands and looking forward probably something like this
  8. Okay consider them blacklisted!
  9. Nice job Allen and company, a very successful year all in all. Enjoy your anniversary
  10. My first clan was Mayhem Makers in 2004, left the first time for a while because there weren't official trips at the time so I could still PK with all my MM friends that I wanted to at castle and kill all the noobs I hated in Mm whilst being able to PK with friends in other clans too. If I would have stayed my time playing RS would have been very different.
  11. Yeah only took about 30 minutes to realise ned was gonna become king, so turned it off and got straight back to my 'intense analysis of runescape pure clan' and vowed never to do anything else than 'intensely analyse runescape pure clan'. It's a tough job to 'intensely analyse runescape pure clan', but someone's gotta take on the job of 'intense analysis of runescape pure clan'.
  12. I started watching but it's just too obvious that ned Starks gonna become king so I stopped. Too predictable.
  13. I was personally inspired in my leading by a couple of people over the years, no particular order as all people have negative and positive points. Not to forget the staff team beneath and around these leaders who make it possible, but thats a whole separate list. SPW - CP in 2008, SPW was very disciplined and quick thinking, which obviously worked as he made CP one of the strongest clans in terms of warring, way better than any other clan around at that point. Dr Rage - CP until around 2008, he had the flip side of the coin in that whilst still being a strong figurehead like SPW, was much more thoughtful over his decisions. Bob - Bob knew how to mould a fun community to be a part of and is friendly with absolutely anyone he comes across (Other than perhaps Zo), including rival clans which benefited the clans he was in massively. Jibs - A throwback to the beginning of pure clanning, Jib has experienced everything there is to experience in pure clanning and was very decisive. An inspiring presence. Was one of the first callers in pure clanning and imo one of the best. Prateek - His calling pretty much transformed the clans he was the warlord for into an efficient and organised group, knew how to read a fight and adapt to that. Ben - When fully dedicated Ben exemplifies all of the above's positive characteristics and is an absolutely work horse. Goop - EOP were at rock bottom in early 2009, slumped down to 10 person pulls and horrible inner clan turmoil. Goop dropped his ego, patched up the wounds, and put alot of hard work in and went on to drag his clan to the top level of pure clanning, eventually retaking #1. After seeing EOP at its absolute worst, it was a cool thing to witness. Tonnes more that I could add but these are the ones that stand out for me.

Based on aftermath topics mainly, average number. Been pretty liberal with the numbers both up and down, but i'd say over the last few weeks or whatever this is somewhere around the real numbers Eruption of Pures - 70 Final Ownage Elite - 70 The Last Pures - 50 Fatality - 50 Redemption - 50 Suprmacy - 50 Corrupt Pures -40 ZU - 40 Leet Tactics - 40 Olympus - 50 Conviction - 50 Trauma - 40 Imperial - 40 Curse - 30 Chaos - 30 Remedy - 20 Thats 460 with the HPC bracket, and 720 total with the MPC/LPC bracket. Obviously with clans being with multiclanners that PK with the LPC's, i'd estimate the number of people active in the few hours of the weekend trips is around the 600+ mark. Would be interesting to compare it to any other time period, but i'd bet it is pretty good going and i'd think would be pretty high up in terms of all time activity.
  16. Began PK'ing with a bunch of my brothers friends like x0x h3ll x0x, xsw0rd5m4nzx, Volcanic Fox etc in 2004 on a pure I had made, turns out they were all in MM and I began posting around their forums and PK'ing with them daily around castle, joining the clan. That was my first introduction to some sort of "pure community". The community at large didn't exist back then, there weren't too many pures around at that time, so until the community grew the 'pure community' was pretty much MM forums.
  17. I've seen both clans being upset when other clans don't prep them, but when it comes to a situation where a prep is possible, they cancel in the sake of "trolling" or to boost their own ego by 'getting one over' on another clan Seems like a classic example of cutting off ones nose to spite their face, just accept the activity for your clan haha.
  18. Thats a shame, especially with 'true' F2P coming at the end of the month which would have been great for any and all LPC's. Like you said in the topic though, most of you guys have hit 80 combat now so you probably wouldn't have been able to reap the true benefits of true f2p in the LPC scene. Either way, good luck to all members
  19. I joined Mayhem Makers in 2004 which was the first pure clan I ever had to make an application for, a couple of months after the release of rs2. Been active in the community to some degree throughout pretty much all of that time
  20. Well, the MPC/HPC clans won't change their times so that stands out initially as a ridiculous statement, why would they? You say it yourself in the title of this topic; "The HPC scene is thriving..." Unlike last time when there were 3 clans remaining, there is absolutely zero motivation for these clans to move their trip times. Moreso, the LPC scene is thriving with about the same ammount of clans as the other scene and most of em pulling 30-60. The biggest issue with LPC times being different to MPC/HPC is multiclanning, most of the clans right now consist of tonnes of members from other higher leveled clans, which makes it logistically cauliflower to change their trip times. I predict the release of F2P will shake this up a little, I know a few LPC clans that are being discussed to be opened that are not going to accept multi claners, and they could and will probably PK at HPC/MPC times with combat caps and avoid getting hit by the higher leveled clans by simply fighting in low wilderness levels. With these new LPC's being actively involved in the MPC/HPC scene whilst still avoiding the negatives of it (such as getting crashed etc) due to combat caps and being able to Pk in low wilderness is a much more efficient way of building a foundation. This will allow them to get involved with the weaker of the MPC clans (if they want to) entirely on their own watch if the LPC clans have the numbers and organisation, rather than Pking 3 hours later and not having the oppotunity to be the 'giant slayers' by beating an MPC clan. It'll be interesting to see what happens in relation to that.
  21. Both times that LPC's have been pushed in OSRS has been with growth in mind. The entire process of manufacturing an LPC scene has been to give the clans that want to expand the opportunity to build the foundation of their clans in the hopes of eventually becoming MPC clans. Raising levels and requirements is part and parcel of that as clans grow bigger and stronger with the end goal being competing with the already established 'MPC' clans. LPC scenes need to be manufactured by the community in old school at the moment because its not a free game; most people simply want to pay one membership and make that account as strong as possible and thus they end up joining one of the higher level'ed clans, eventually leaving a gulf where historically LPC clans have been, hence the need to organize scenes. With free2play coming out, that'll happen much more organically and an LPC scene won't need to be pieced together and instead it'll occur naturally, with natural level boundaries and being much closer to the "historical" LPC formula. Due to the state of the P2P only game, that formula simply doesn't work at the moment which is why these lpc clans can afford to take liberties with level caps et cetera. Ironically, the current "lpc meta" right now is probably closer to your definition of LPC clans than Pre-Eoc was, in Pre-EOC the only low level clans I can remember that actually had low levels/combat caps etc were Resurgence and NME (and a couple of others that are relatively unimportant), and the clans that these two were competing with initially were clans like Negative, EF, and Destruction who had 90s with addy etc but simply pulled small. Only, unlike now, the low level clans of pre-eoc didn't complain about levels and simply went around that with more numbers/better organisation.
