After the recent fiasco I took the blame for what some people would call a "loophole" being exposed in the system. Hopefully these tighten up the rules and prevent any more broccolied brown sticky stuff in the future from happening. BO5 preps will not be counted towards COTM if they are within 5 days to the end of the month. Only two preps count towards COTM per day. Unless it's a Fullout preps during the weekends don't count, but they do count towards you CWL W/L's Preps done withing the last 2 days of the month don't count towards COTM, but they do count towards you CWL W/L's The opt count must be met within atleast 2 rounds. Example, if 30v30 prep aftermath is posted, atleast two of the rounds must have been 30v30+. If one round is 30v30, and the other two are 25v25, this prep will be counted as 20v20. Any information given to us about a clan buying a prep will DQ that clan for the entire month from COTM If you lie on a OPT count to gain more points in a prep you will lost x2 the amount of points the entire prep is worth for example, if Clan X says they did a 30v30 P2P Prep but the video shows 25v25 in 2/3 Rounds they will lose 5 points for that month. On the flip side if there's "Human" error that doesn't change the score we will not punish it, for example if Clan X says they did a 25v25 prep but the video show 24v24 I will not penalize you because you don't change the outcome of points. This month's COTM has been hotly contested and I would like to congratulate Unbreakable and Phoenix for reaching to the tiebreaker round of the September. S/O to Misfits for stepping into the clan wars arena, and the community appreciate your efforts on becoming a 2 server clan. ------------------ This month's COTM has been difficult to judge as both Unbreakable and Phoenix used a number of nefarious methods of faking their score such as: Faked opt topics Faked round topics Prepping clans with far less experience than themselves. These activities has significantly wasted alot of time on our end and we will be implementing new rules to stop such shenanigans, with that said, we were thrust into a scenario where the point difference to determine a tiebreaker fell onto 2 p2p topics of UB(fake video) and 1 topic of Phoenix(Fake opts). Thus as both clans were equally at fault, we felt that we cannot null one side without doing so to the other as we don't have any regulations to determine severely of offence. If we added topics of UB, they will reach a tiebreak If we nulled UB topics, we would have to null PX's 1 and there will be a tiebreak as well Thus the final decision of the staff team is for UB and PX to tiebreak off later this month. Considering UB only mass prepped towards the end of the month to pipe up to PX, we feel that they should be able to handle anything PX throws at them. Phoenix will be deciding the rules of the prep, once the rules have been finalized, memberlist will be locked and the fight shall proceed. If UB declines PX's rules, the award will go to PX. @Phoenix ranks please prepare the rules and your memberlist within 48 hours. New Promotion Schedule Unlike a clan where there obvious need for background checks and long vetting process before a member can become a rank, sharkbrew, as a community site, has little privacy concerns to worry about. Previously, we operated on a 3 monthish promotion schedule that resulted in many apps with good potential going MIA. To mitigate such potential loss of future talent, we will be running ad-hoc promotions whenever we receive good applications. Opponents shall provide a screenshot of their memberlist if necessary or else it will count as a ignore/forfeit. Clans can only declare twice(1 P2P/1 F2P) per week(every Monday 00:00 EST to Sunday 23:59 EST) against clans they had not declared on before in that month. This means clans can make up to a maximum of 8 declarations per month. <-- Clans can only declare against the same clan twice, 1 p2p 1 f2p Declaring clan receives full COTM points equivalent to a 3-0 fight for ignored declarations. <-- You will receive COTM according to the opts declared, e.g. +2 for 40v40, etc. Do note that all anti prep farming point deduction apply so if you prepped a clan more than twice in a month, you shouldn't declare on them in the last 2 weeks. Ignoring/forfeiting a declaration will result in a 3 point penalty from final COTM score <-- We felt that auto DQ from COTM and WCOTM was too harsh. In the past 2 COTMs, The 3 clans with the highest points in the last 2 COTMs were within 3 points of each other and thus this point penalty should be suffice in tipping the balance.

The PvP Championship represents our most ambitious foray into competitive combat so far. Join us as we seek to establish just who is at the pinnacle of player-versus-player combat. The weekend of 12th/13th August will play host to three bracketed tournaments: 1v1, 5v5, 20v20. The PvP Championship will see hundreds of players go head to head over the course of the entire weekend in pursuit of a total prize of $30,000 shared across three competitions. The PvP Championship is an invitational tournament in which sixteen individual players will compete for the 1v1 title, sixteen teams will battle it out to be named champions of the 5v5 arena, and eight teams will clash to be crowned winners of the 20v20 bracket. On July the 3rd, ranks of Sharkbrew & representatives of various xLpcs gathered on TS for a small meeting which lasted for an hour or so. We agreed on the following: 1) Combat cap of 70 (Ascent asked for a cb 65 cap), while the 65 should stay the average ish in the memberlist. 2) No overheads in clan wars 3) Massing for trips at 4pm est, start at 4:30pm. So, as some of you have already noticed, we've decided to give xLpcs a chance at the WCOTM, in the hope of promoting wilderness & eventually clan wars activity amongst the lilguys. If everything goes by the plan, we'd also love to host a xLpc version of the RvB, probably 2v2. Currently we're waiting for all xLpc's to assign clan ambassadors, finish their memberlists & recruitment topics so we could open the WCOTM tracker. Fake smile has been temporarily demoted for entrapment. All ranks are requirement to uphold the rules of sharkbrew. And hold them themselves to higher standards.

Last week, we asked the community and the ambassadors their take on a revamp The ambassadors voted in their boards and none of the poll questions passed. Read below for changes within the point system and logs. Point System: Pkris 1.50 Points for PKRIs. After two pkris, it'll be brought down to 1.25 points. This will reset at midnight in eastern timezone. (must provide evidence of established pkri, both clans will get points, mains will be penalized)It was found that clans hardly do more than two pkris in one day regardless unless they're farming it in the last week. In order to avoid farming all together, we have capped it. If we see its hindering clans during the month of June, it'll be changedMidweeks Midweeks with fighting clans (an unplanned pkri) - this serves as an unexpected pkri and should be worth around 1.25 points. If a second midweek is posted, it'll be brought down to 1 point.(mains will not be penalized) Midweek with fighting randoms - 1 point (mains will not be penalized) Weekends Wilderness Weekend event- 2 points (mains will be penalized) no changes This point system will be effective from this point forward. Creation of Topics Sharkbrew staff and I have spoken about this for awhile. Its been somewhat ridiculous on how people only post a video of their event to get midweek points. Guidelines: Be descriptive of what occurred in your fights to the best of your abilities. Organize the fights into an orderly fashion with the apporiate GFX or text. If the guidelines aren't followed, your topics will not count. Your topics will start to be penalized on June 14th. If you have any questions or suggestions on how to organize it. I was curious on what type of events our community may want Previously, We weren't able to do P2P RvB due to clans not being p2p ready & dipping out last moment. We're adding/fixing some new things for COTM as per improving the system and making it fair for everyone - Prepping a clan in the same server more than once will result in a .-25 (First Time) -.50 (Second Time) -.75 (Third Time) and -1 (Fourth Time) | After the fourth time you will receive 0 points for prepping them in that same server. -Any clan caught cape switching (with valid proof) will result in a redo of the round if the clan who cape switched won but if the opposing clan won they can decide to continue the prep as normal. Also, if the clan who cape switches refuses to redo the round it will be a auto-win for the opposing clan. (Must be re-done during the prep) -A standard will be set for preps as "Minimum Opts" since over the course of the past few weeks clans have complained due to low pulling clans doing 20v20's. So the standard will be 20v20 in during all rounds, no more no less.

Before the implementation of the WCOTM, barely any clan went out into the wilderness, during the weekdays for either midweeks or PKRIs. Thanks to the groundwork done by @@Moni, @ (a TINY bit) and now @@Kim (who runs the system), we now have almost 3-4 midweeks/PKRIs posted daily. However, while I haven't been following up with the WCOTM myself, it appears that some clans have been reusing content from other topics and posting them in a fresh new topic. This sort of behavior distort and corrupts the intention of the WCOTM- which is to improve the wilderness activity of the pure community. (Yes irregardless whether the additional content counts or not towards WCOTM, reusing old content betrays the expectation that all content in an aftermath topic have not been posted before). Furthermore, it appears that some clans like AAO may have reused pictures judging from the CC. While that cannot be confirmed yet, I will have creating a forum section dispute to tackle this fake topic/duplicate content issue. It is humanly impossible for sharkbrew ranks or any group of people to root out fake topics, instead we need the entire help of the community to find an expose such clans.
