Some changes to Security & Privacy

Some members of this forums may have experienced mysterious logging out problem. This is due to limitations of IPB & the fact that your IPs are hidden. In layman terms, your IP is one of the factor IPB checks for to see if you are the real owner. If IPB cannot see your IP, it can't keep you logged in.

To solve the logging out problem, I will need to enable the backend webserver to pass the IPs to IPB. This unfortunately goes against the morale foundations which this forum is pretty much built on.

Hence, I have decided to route traffic to a secondary service that encrypts your IP address before exposing it to IPB. Like before, it is impossible for the admins to determine your real IP, even from your encrypted ips.Mods/Admins will be able to see your encrypted that will uniquely identify you on forums, but it will not reveal your real IP address:

*You can try to do a reverse DNS or try to hit off the first IP, it's not me.

You can check your encrypted IP here:
