Pure Clanning 2016

As much as I agree, I know this won't change and the leaders won't change. We're playing in an era that has leaders who are considered jokes and not taken seriously by the community.

There will always be a situation like this:

clan: "holy brown sticky stuff we got destroyed by our rival clan this weekend, did you see how many mains they had?? They had more mains than pures!"

rival clan: "lol we brown sticky stuff on 'clan' today, bring more mains tomorrow to do it again."

2 weeks later:

clan: "we have to start bringing mains to win against 'rival clan'."

rival clan: "oh brown sticky stuff they're bringing mains, get m0o00re!"

Then other clans follow suit so they can be included in the action so they don't lose members. It's a never ending circle and definitely won't be solved by the terrible leaders of today. Sharkbrew has tried a few things to try and combat this, but it never works because clans can never follow through.

How many times are we gonna keep making this topic? Everybody in the community is very self aware on the cancer that they are spreading and multiple times they said they either don't give a brown sticky stuff or try to adapt. It's never going to get better and change could of happened back in 2013 when osrs came out, but of course terrible leaders ruined that for us.

Clanning is dead in both pure and main scene. It's never going to be what it used to be no matter how much you try to spam this topic. Just let it die and move on with your life.

Your (sharkbrew staff's) ideal seems to remain that sharkbrew actually has power over clans. You can't impose things onto the clanning community. You can moderate and recommend, but you cannot control.

The community may be cancerous, but that's because it's been continuously trailing down the path. And quite frankly, you can attempt to play nice and with honour (on an online game) but you won't entertain your opponents continuously if they are using nh tactics against you. Hence, aspects as the "one main for every defence level" can become quite common. People play for fun and love their communities, so if you mess with their clan/clanmates on a dishonourable level, don't expect honour and kind hearts in return.

If change was to be made, it would have to be universally agreed on. Considering the scummy things every single clan takes part in (hacking, ddossing, mains, etc), it's not going to change. So to the OP, having such ideals is rather futile and very optimistic. As long as there are people willing to go to extremes to combat one-another, there's always going to be these 'problems'.
