David got a reaction from Ir0ny in Tempest vs Revolt + Bandits
Tempest vs Bandits+Revolt
Every week, the Tempest storm surges and grows in strength. Today we rolled up against two CWA teams, pulling well over 40 men causing us to drop and to match their pull. We geared up to have some nice three round 35v35 battles.
LOSS
23-25
Round 1 showed that we had some rust to shake off. Nevertheless we were able to keep their margin of victory within 2 points. We knew what we needed to do to adapt our strategy to win and we sought to do exactly that.
WIN
25-21
Round 2 David & Tim decided to go full blown college football super fan. Needless to say our TS became as loud as a MAGA rally centered in the rural hills of west Tennessee. We managed to clench a nice victory and prepared for a repeat in game 3, hyped as hell.
EPIC WIN
25-16
Round 2 David & Tim decided to go Super Saiyan. From the start we took a commanding lead with our building adrenaline from the previous battles. Our tanks showed that they are complete beasts, while our switching demonstrated how strong coordinated k0 power can be in Tempest.
Thanks to all the Tempest men who showed to own and thanks for the rounds Revolt/Bandits.🙂

Tempest -vs- Bandits + New Power
Tempest were eager for another battle to get our Labour Day weekend started right. Bandits and New Power generously offered us the opportunity to have a three round scrap in the CWA. The seamen of Tempest - battle hardened as they are - prepared for a tough fight. The face of the seamen darkened, the shadows grew long, and we set out on the battle field; swords and staves gripped tightly in our hands.
---
Round One
Tempest had a nice pull, as did B+NP and we met in the middle for the fight. The blasts raced across the map, arrows flew, and scimitars sliced through the armour of the opponents. Things looked good straight from the first pile and we never wavered from there.
---
Round Two
We pre-typed "GL R2" and met Bandits + New Power in the CWA map Plateau for R2. We had some great tanking, especially from @Wee Man. This round was close but over time, we cut out a lead and managed to eke out a slender victory in R2.
---
Round Three
Looking for the sweep, we focused up (as well as boomers can). Only one beer was heard to be cracked pre-challenge, so shout-out to the rest of the seamen who waited until the battle to conclude before tying one on. Another strong victory thanks to elite tanking and terrific calling -- even when @MILAD could only get one pile off before being piled (on sight).
---
Thanks for the fun Bandits + New Power!
Great resolve Tempest, another fun day in Teamspeak and out on Plateau.

David reacted to Suri in F2p future
before reading : already notice that it will be a long text, if you are a member of a clan and just want to kick some ass this reading is probably not for you, if you are a clan's rank, please take a few minutes to read, reflect and issue your opinion on the matter below.
The imminent death of f2p is a reality, in fact, nobody today expects the scenario to be better or simply the way it is today in a few months. we are part of one of the smallest niches in a game that by nature doesn't have many new players
but, why does this happen?
at the beginning of oldschool the f2p scenario was active and in fact, it was the main scenario for pvp clans, so what has changed from 2014 to now? if the OSRS based player is only increasing, why doesn't our niche grow too?
I can divide this into three main factors:
-the elitization
-the lack of a main event
-toxic rivalries
the elitization:
the requirements to join clans have become increasingly insane, and the clans themselves have stopped going for new bloods, in fact, to join a competitive clan you need to have a clan history, know someone inside that clan, have good levels and returns
this alone already drives away a huge number of players, making a bubble in the world of clans and with a clear consequence, the lack of renewal of the scenario
'' recruiting newcomers to my clan will make him lose his quality ''
well, that's not a lie, but is quality really as important as keeping the scene alive? a good example is done in pure clans, let's take zenith as an example, use tactics like spam from your clan chat in banks to attract pures who never join a clan to know your clan project
unquestionably this makes the clan with several members with lower quality, but that eventually will learn to fight and improve, and as a result, every weekend the clan manages to pull more than 100 people into fights.
The simple fact that 99% of clans today have as their base player only who have played in the clan world for more than 8 years and with a combat level above 124+, but with small pulls and with basically repeated members in teams, demonstrates the madness of this elitization
the lack of a main event
This is something I believe has never been present in the main clan scenario, but success in the pure clan scenario should be followed by our community.
Ask yourself, what is the purpose of your clan today? win a rivalry? or just become the top 1? this again leads to a lack of objectivity in the f2p scenario, a large event, marked with a fixed schedule, can be a game change.
Larger fights involving several clans, seeking better performances / pulls / participations, in addition to improving logistics would make several players / clans be excited to return to f2p wild fights, and even new clans appear with this objective. Although it is difficult to score something
so due to the time difference between Est / Gmt, the biggest f2p clans should try to organize themselves to find an ideal time for everyone, even if at first their clan pulls less on these days, the tendency is for people to organize themselves and be able to show up constantly
Toxic rivalry
this is in fact the most important point, because it was here that the f2p scenario started to die, in crash war of Rot vs Di / df / vr / eos we learned how crash wars can destroy the scenario. does not exist a winner in something like that, in the end we only have the end of the community we like and the
weakening of the scenario, although rivalries always exist and it is even something positive, things like, '' stop the activity '' or '' crash in all fights '' will only make new and old players away from the scenario.
Rivalries are positive, but when they become toxic and the only goal of your clan is to destroy the other, become something terrible and even if you ever manage to end that group of players, your clan will become aimless and will be the next to die

David reacted to dwg in Downfall's Reunion - Reviving F2P
Edit: We will be having live photography coming soon.
Earlier this week, we received intel of a cluster that was going down today. Due to COVID-19 and the whole quarantine situation, we thought it would be nostalgic and fun to gather up the boys and head out to see what was popping in the scene. After three days of getting the gang back together, we managed to muster up a solid 60 Downfallians for a trip down memory lane. With many new clans around, there was one particular clan that struck out - The Rising. They've always been a decent opponent for action so the target was set. However, hearing Downfall was coming must have struck fear into TR.. Although we were hoping for a clean 1v1 while the rest of the cluster dukes it out - The Rising formed an alliance. Quite an embarrassing and pathetic move given that it was suppose to be a "cluster." Their reasoning? To be able to beat Downfall atleast ONCE in their clan's entire existence.
Downfall Starting:
The Rising & Alliance Starting: (LATER GAINING TO 172)
TR: 50 ON TS
ALLIANCE: 99 ON "Best Teams" DISC | 100 in "Ur Eazy" CC
Although majority of our members haven't touched the game in years, or that our callers haven't called in years, or that over 85% of our boys were returning through canoe, or that we were facing over 170 people, it ALMOST seemed like The Rising's dream of ever beating us were to come true. After fearlessly rushing, the fight briefly broke into 2 sections: Arroz(?) vs TR's Alliance Clans (honestly too many to name and don't know any of them) - leaving The Rising in a clean 1v1 against us. It took us about two piles to shake off the rust and immediately started transitioning through them like we never left. They NEVER could and NEVER will be able to compete with us no matter how much they practice.
Here's an example of what happens in a clean battle (shoutout to TR for the pic btw - got it from their topic):
After getting farmed for about 15 minutes or so, it was CLEAR that there was no possible way they would be able to compete with us on even numbers. Next plan? TR forced PeTeR to mass up Vitality to take care of Arroz. Why? So that their 172 man alliance (not including Vit) would all be able to focus Downfall.
Any clan in our position at this point would've folded - not us. Despite being rusty, our organization still shined. We moved the fight west to get our returners quicker while prolonging theirs and immediately went to work. Despite being outnumbered 1:3 and this "cluster" turning into everyone versus Downfall - it was still clear that we were never going to let up and their efforts were worthless. After about an hour or so of fighting here still outnumbered 1v3, we received word the Reign of Terror were logging in - which initiated our contingency plan. We did a quick bait and switch by letting The Rising get rushed by ROT - then immediately logging back in and clearing out the alliance followed by chasing The Rising out of the wilderness.

If you ever plan on truly testing yourself and having a fair battle against us, you know where to find us.
