H88
Twitch had a big data breach tonight. I haven't checked it out enough yet to know if it's a big deal or not, what's in it etc, but a lot of people in the community use twitch bonds or have twitch prime and twitch linked to their rs accounts. Just to be safe, I would advise changing all your account AND email passwords. @slushpuppymight want to post it in discord just in case. https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/6/22712250/twitch-hack-leak-data-streamer-revenue-steam-competitor Also for the luls here's all the streamers' twitch incomes https://www.twitchearnings.com/ Dox17 and puppyslush

H88
copy paste thanks ASAP Quote The leak doesn’t appear to include password or address information on Twitch users, but that doesn’t mean this information hasn’t been obtained as part of this breach. In fact, the leaker seems to have focused on sharing Twitch’s own company tools and information, rather than code that would include personal accounts. I would still change passwords in case there's a part 2, if user data is sold/listed elsewhere later privately, etc. Better safe than sorry. Good idea to warn your buddies and clan mates on this game. Good yearly reminder to use some kind of password management software. Generic recommendation: https://keepassxc.org/ Data leaks like this are an everyday thing but it's high profile enough, and closely enough connected to our RS accounts to be cautious. fact check
if your twitch name is known, start thinking about any way the associated email can be connected to your dox so you can obfuscate info. Or if you used the same password for multiple locations, change them. If your twitch name (and email) is/are not known, nothing to worry about. If your twitch name is known but you have a throwaway pw+email, nothing to worry about.

Which kinda makes it sound like they're not totally sure at best. So yeah good call announcing it.

Good post read this one goobers Although do be aware if there is eventually a leak of emails etc they do eventually get scoured by bots and runescape logins are definitely checked for because of how easy it is to convert this game's currency to money and the value. So if you're not a known streamer etc you could still possibly get hit depending on what data eventually does come out.
