Few questions: 1. Which clan was your first clan? 2. What year did you join the pure community? 3. Are you currently in a clan? If so, which one? MG F T W

Let's work together, and revive the once great, xLPC scene!
Mg F T W replied to Don Elmir's topic in Community Discussion
I don't get it. What is the incentive for people listening? It's as if you're selling air for $5. No one's going to buy it. Do you really think that when clans are faced with conflicting values (e.g. fighting honourably vs winning) that they will pick honour and fight with no mains when others by default have an advantage? If you want this to work, you have to provide some real incentives or benefits for the proposal. -
In attempt to combat this dilemma, people tend to apply the same framework to provide some novel solution. Namely, they provide answers to the question of "how can we maintain [honour/fun/insert whatever feature of the community we value] in the face [trolls/mains/insert whatever other feature that negatively impacts the community we value]?". Maybe it's time to rid yourselves free of the framework that attempts to provide solutions because it may be that very framework that puts you into the dilemma. Put more bluntly, do something else about it. MG F T W

Ok I just viewed your POV, but they claim to have also another POV that shows them pushing you away from a fight. I understand that there is another clan that tried to crash, but what happened in the end? Because if it's true that they are slumping, why are they not being honest about it? They keep saying that you photoshopped the fight (but I don't believe that). So who ended up staying in the wild till the end? -

He clearly looks like he's walking AWAY from them and the clump to attack someone. I think he even has auto-retaliate on. -

Looks like a fun fight! A side inquiry: why would you depict pandas as wild beasts? They are extremely laid back and easy going. They usually enjoy eating bamboo and not clawing people. -

Ok, something fishy is going on here. The topic title claims to have dominated certain clans in the wild. However, those other clans also claim to dominate this clan, for e.g., "MISFITS SUNDAY SWARM Ft. Peenix killed/SV/Apex/IR/SV/EOP/FOE" is a title of another topic posted just recently. Who is lying? I want to see more honesty from both topic posters. We want a transparent and just system of fact reporting. -

Standardized prep rules & feedback from communit
Mg F T W replied to slushpuppy's topic in Community Discussion
This won't work. The problem stems from various sources. Off the top of my mind: The categorization of pures appears counterintuitive (e.g. MM would be considered an MPC?) Assume a member of an MPC clan was hacked to 30 defence. Also assume that the clan keeps him in. It seems odd to say they are now an HPC because of 1 instance of a 30 def pure. I also do not think that the member's defence will outweigh his ties to the clan he wants to be a part of. The fact that clans will be labelled something different from what they currently are now does not change the fact that clans will bring mains. For example, how will classifying EOP, CP (or whomever) as an HPC stop them from bringing mains? It's not a matter of classifying pures differently, it's about motivating the community to change their standards. It's a matter of each clan agreeing to abide by certain norms and conventions. But what incentives do they have? Given that they have pures already over 20 defence, I don't think they want to create other accounts. There seems to be three ways to proceed: Work with Jagex to enforce standards (whatever they may be) Embrace the fact that the state of affairs dictate "pure" clans ought to become mains. Change standards to a hybrid clan (1-99 defence). -
Pug, are you sir pugger on youtube? i swear the voice is the same.

It should either be 1-25 def or 1-29 def. The reason behind these numbers concerns room for error (e.g. some person receives def xp because they had defence mode on). As for the first option, it allows room for those p2p robes. The second option allows room for further defence xp mistakes to occur but limits the model of the pure on a mithril scheme rather than that of addy. However, the ideal should be that pures are aiming to have 20 (f2p) or 25 (p2p) defence. The reason for the 25 or 29 def cap is to allow for space for error. One may be inclined to have a 30 def cap, but reasons for this most likely stem from being accustomed to how things currently are. Rather, one should be concerned with how things ought to be. Placing the cap at 25 or 29 def will restore warring and clanning dynamics to the way things were. In addition, the relevant difference between a 1 defence pure vs. a 20 defence pure is much more closer and relevant compared to a 1 defence pure vs. a 30 defence pure.
