I've come across this excuse far too many times. Even when it happened to Rage I held the same opinion. Esp. for big events like this members and ESPECIALLY ranks should always change their IPs if they are on a dynamic IP before the event, or change their ISP/Router package or be careful with their IPs if on static. Its a preventable thing, and so the only reason to getting DDoS'd is laziness.
