It's quite obvious that a wilderness full out isn't going to work, especially when you publicly declare the time. However Supremacy were the ones to initiate the rivalry wanting to 'secure' the team-27 cape for themselves and 'the movement' by changing their names to variants of 't27t27t27t27'. Hostility was exhibited by Supremacy first, so TLP are responding appropriately.

Just wanna throw my two cents on this paragraph because it's relevant to me. It's ridiculously hard to draw the line on what I should moderate and what I should just leave up. Its evident that the pure community has always been 'outgoing', for lack of a better word. We make racist jokes as if it's normal and socially acceptable. Other people often consider that everyone except their own clan has a mental disability. I moderate other places outside Sharkbrew and I even run another gaming community and I have never seen such a level of toxicity anywhere else. The thing is almost everyone engages in childish flame on a regular basis. I have to draw the line somewhere, but the last thing I want to do is end up banning 3/4 of the community. The pure community is thin regarding active players as it is, the last thing I want to do is discourage people from communicating and engaging together, even if that level of engagement is poor at best. It's an unrealistic expectation to moderate all the flame on Sharkbrew simply because if I did, Sharkbrew wouldn't exist because half of the user base would be banned at this point. I'm trying my best to make this place better, but unfortunately there is only so much I can do. Seriously, it's not easy trying to keep everyone happy :\

Considering i'm from the old pure community where flames were at a minimum unless you've broken a clan rule and got booted. I believe that there should be minimum banter on clans, i mean honestly look @ each and every clan. To achieve a 20 pull for a new group of ranks is an accomplishment and to maintain that to a higher pace is a greater accomplishment. It may not be to some of us who've lead 50-70 people before. However to these guys it's a great start and for these "members" of each clan to put every single clan down even if they don't know anyone is complete idiocy. If we kept flame to a minimum, maybe clans will start respecting each other. However that's a lot to ask from a clan, to respect another that is. It is an online game in which enhanced personalities come from closets.

It's a hard line to draw, pures have a long history of flaming each other, and it sort of became part of the community.
This isn't necessary a bad thing, good friends also tell each other word for the heck of it.
 
You have to put flame into perspective, it isn't a problem when 2 people just have some banter, the line is when people are just straight up threating each other.
 
My experience being a retired mod, it was really hard to do, because everybody here have multiple agendas, and between all that we also have to stay unbiased.
 
Always keep in mind, it's just a game, runescape and the banter.
