Any of you who are reading this and associate yourselves as a rank within any clan on this forum need to please explain to me the following... What in the actual fuck are you guys doing? Simple as that. I'm not going to lie, at first I was quite hopeful of the newer clans providing a revamped, renewed sense of activity within the Pure Community scene. Not talking about necessarily intelligent topics and expose's (although since I haven't seen any evidence of any of that yet, those wouldn't hurt), but at least something more than just your typical 15v15 miniwar, or your 30v30 prep that you maybe get once a week. I am discounting weekend trips, because weekend trips are an expected event, and although I have noticed a negative trend BEGINNING in those within the MPC scene as well, I think that those are the healthiest events of the ones I've currently seen. Since the LPC/MPC scene was formed, there have been no 2v2 or 3v3 fullouts (which considering how many smaller clans are out there, wouldn't be a bad idea). There have also been only 2 clans to have opened and lasted past the now almost 3 month mark (Grats to Supremacy and Zerg Unit), and out of the clans that have opened, 3 are re-openings and only 2 are different names. There have been around 20-30 events this month total, and all of them have had clans bitching, cheating, or cancelling due to fear of looking weak/losing. Have you guys learned nothing from the degraded state of pure clanning today? The reason clans are not even prominent is because of people like you. Yes, YOU for not taking just 3-5 minutes of your time to have a decent conversation with somebody from another clan, to plan out cool/different/interesting events, and taking the extra 30-45 minutes to organize it into topics for the rank teams/memberbases and then an extra hour tops to actually produce the event on the day it's supposed to happen. Right now I know that there are alot of you laughing at the current struggle that EoP/FoE/Fi/CP have found themselves in, because their timeslot for trips consists of 30-40minutes of waiting in between fights, those fights getting crashed or lasting 3-8 minutes tops, and their topics and vids looking pithier and pithier by the week. But let me tell your this right now, as somebody who has been out of the game essentially for over half a year now, and has been involved with it since 2005.... I can honestly say you lot are willingly putting yourselves and your clanmates in the exact same position. And in less than 1/8th of the time I might add. This is the best chance Pure Clanning has at surviving and making a rebound. The main community has already fallen off, and without any communities to join, why would anybody want to play the game? Quit fucking yourselves over, start fucking using the brain that's somewhere in your head, and start actually competing, instead of playing piss-ass drama sessions with your members/ranks and stagnating the community even further. You guys already fucked up by going too high with the combat levels, but that would be excusable if you nimrods had events that were bigger and well recorded, rather than little textwalls that do nothing compared to the old propaganda topic wars between MM/FOE/TLP/EOP/FI back in the day. /rant over. I recall back in 2010 when EoP/Fatality had to team up for the RvB event. This was after/sort of during that heated rivalry, and were able to for ONE DAY get along and have a nice community event I suggest a 2v2 war in another thread, because 20v20 preps are cool and all but it's literally the only thing being done these days (in this scene), and instead the idea gets shut down by a Zu member/rank because these days 2v2 full outs are for clans that suck These events need more variety. Everyone is out to protect their own ego. Flaming and abuse is practically a norm. Debate it all you want, but I doubt it will make a difference. However a few things, pure clanning has always had flame and drama, it's not new news but I do think it is excessive at the moment, especially in times like these where the community isn't so large. Also as for the events, while I agree there should be more creative events I don't think it will be a major factor in saving the pure community but it will help.
