Shadows got a reaction from N Ranges in Scammed by clanmate in apex, Leader gives no brown sticky stuffs :)
That sucks man. This needs to be reviewed again by Apex ranks. Tbh though, this is more of a inner clan thing. Would have been best to try and resolve it with your ranks privately, even if you claim Nox doesn't care (although I do not believe he wouldn't care about something like this). I believe that making these inner clan scammings public on Sharkbrew will hurt the credibility of your clan.
I am not really 100% sure how he had access to 400m gp, but I wouldn't recommend trusting too many people with this amount of GP. You should have been more careful with who had access to it.

    Overview-
The BrewCup 6v6 Tournament has finally come to an end. This tournament is the first event planned for the 2018 Miniwar Season and after a shaky start, it provided us with a very competitive event with a bit of everything. Reception of the tournament has been pretty positive, but I hope we can improve on many aspects for the next event.  The event had a total of 14 teams sign up and if I am to believe information I have been given, we might have a bigger team count for the next tournament we host. Memberlists were locked for this tournament and they will be locked for any other event hosted by Sharkbrew. Due to problems with clan memberlists, Clan Memberlists will no longer be accepted in any Miniwar tournament. Results from the default tournament will be used for seeding into the next Miniwar event. All matches were best 3 of 5 with all rounds being PKRIs. PKRI rounds were received with a lot of positive comments, but this will be polled for the next event just to make sure that participants would like to repeat this system. The topic for the next Sharkbrew Miniwar event is already in public preview. Access to the topic is limited to participants at the moment. If you would like to read the topic, just need to send me a pm. Feedback/Suggestions are welcomed. Tournament was all single elimination to follow the same system as the rest of the BrewCup categories. Participants-

FOE officially won the Oldschool tournament after defeating Weedblazing 3-1 in the final. Weedblazing reached the final of the Oldschool tournament after a heavily contested match against Unbreakable in the Semis. During the match, UB used a recoil item in a few rounds which was a banned item in the tournament. After a dispute and mixed negotiations, by tournament rules, UB were consequently disqualified from the tournament.

FOE throughout the BrewCup 6v6 Event:

FOE ended the BrewCup 6v6 Miniwar Tournament with a very impressive 21-3 round count (24-3 if you count the forfeit) throughout all their matches.
FOE got the first kill of the round in 16 out of 21 rounds or in 76% of the all the rounds they had.
FOE won 5 rounds in which they went down opts before finishing their first pile. (Note that this doesn’t take into consideration how fast they dropped the guy they were piling after going down in opts.)

    Note-

I would like to personally thank all of the people who participated and/or have supported the event. The reception of the tournament has been very positive, although I am highly critical of several mistakes or mishaps which occured throughout the event. It had a few shaky moments, but I am hoping to improve on these mistakes for our next event. Congratulations to FOE for winning both the Default Tournament and the Oldschool Tournament. Commiserations to the teams who didn’t make it, but I wish you best of luck if you decide to participate in the next event. Quick reminder that if you would like access to the topic for the next event, just send me a PM.

    See you all soon,

Dispute has passed. The match result is a 3-0 result in favor of Weedblazing because of Ub having recoil damage in the first two rounds. Recoil was one of the items banned in the tournament rules established at the beginning of the event. I read there was some redo talk but this is no longer the case.

Yes, there was a loophole found on the rules, the loophole specifically being that a person has a different username on the memberlist. Due to my mistake of not knowing that involving a Clan Memberlist would be a problem prior to the tournament, the decision was then switched to a discussion by the SB ranks were my say and people involved with FOE would not be included and the result was a that FOE would keep the win. I explained the ranks the situation and the result still went this way. This is the same process that was taken prior to the tournament to see if Apex should be allowed into the tournament after submitting their application late.
FOE will keep the win, even though on FOE's memberlist, Heism has a different username. There is enough evidence pointing that he was the person on 834975943279 account. There is the Ts pic of the event, Control's memberlist, words by people not involved with FOE and myself knowing. This loophole will fixed for future tournaments. Heism was a participant on FOE's 8 man memberlist and there is enough evidence provided showing that he was the person on the account.
The result will stand and the decision was not taken by myself, to avoid bias.

Tbh I did not know this topic was going to be made in the first place. I am not involved in COTM for the SB staff, my focus is Community Events. My thoughts on the matter is that defenders choose. I know there was a discussion on this and the topic was made to verify the community's thought on the situation.
I can't really take sides regarding the EOP/FOE discussion as I am not really up to date with all that happened. Both sides have done things deemed "NH"; it just depends on how clans allow Sharkbrew to get involved on the situation. This is an internal affair between FOE/EOP and we have been told not to get involved in these types of affairs before because of past decisions taken. There are probably other ranks who are up to date with the situation between EOP/FOE which could inform you better on the matter. I do not know if there is a plan to take regarding this subject either.
I do have to agree that anything done outside of the game should be addressed, but these things should be struck down by Clan Leaders imo. Clan leaders have full authority over their communities. If a rank allows things like this, just leaves a bad reputation for the future. Makes you seem incompetent as a clan leader when you break under the pressure and lose control of your members or when you endorse NH tactics. Leaders should have the will to strike down in situations like this even if you are losing to an opponent.
I am sure Sharkbrew will get involved if Clan Leaders want us to get involved though. At the moment I do not know much about this though.

I have received pretty good feedback so far regarding the event. It is great that people have enjoyed it.
A lot of room for improvement though imo as things like communication between Team Representatives has been an issue. Currently have a few people who are previewing the topic for the next miniwar event. They are giving feedback/suggestions on how to improve from this tournament which has been good.
The topic is being done very early though, the date for the next event is not set yet.

I'd be done to try and see how many people would sign up for it, it does sound interesting. I cannot take full lead of it though as I have already been tasked with providing the miniwar scene with action for 2018 (a draft of several events throughout the year is in progress). If the scene is disinterested or reception to more events is negative, I can put my full attention to another scene. This would allow me to play with 1v1 or Singles run in events. Currently my attention is on the miniwar scene though. It would depend if another rank can take the main role for it.
A 3v3 tournament was set up by Lenin some time back. For this 6v6 we have 14 teams and for the 3v3 only 4 teams (including Lenin's) signed up. For the amount of time that goes into running/planning for these events, plus the resources separated like GFX, gp, advertisement, etc; it did not get good community reception. I don't see one happening again for some time.

A big issue on this is that people are now seeing their events as direct competition to ours which is something I actually spoke to Louis briefly about. I personally don't mind having them around as it is refreshing seeing something new. As long as the community understands it isn't a rivalry or anything it could work out. We are two seperate groups trying to correlate for 1 community. We both want the best for it regardless of our way to work on it.
To put it into perspective, they offered 30m for their 6v6 tournament which is great tbh, but people are now expecting a cash prize for Sharkbrew's 6v6 which at the moment like I answered earlier, I don't have. I don't get paid to make tournaments either lol. If I was to invest a large amount of money or use Sharkbrew's resources on this 6v6 tournament just to screw them up and in a non-realistic way consistently maintain high cash awards throughout the year. Would this make their events less appealing in the long run if they can't match Sharkbrew's?
People need to realize that this isn't a competition of who can host the best event and give out the best cash awards. These are two different groups of people working on giving action to a relatively dull scene.

    BrewCup 6v6 Tournament-
Sharkbrew will be hosting several Miniwar tournaments throughout 2018 to help the Miniwar scene grow and have events aimed specifically for said scene. The first event will be the BrewCup 6v6 Tournament which will be held on January alongside the rest of the categories for the BrewCup which include 20v20, 30v30, 40v40 and possibly fullouts for both Pure and Main Clans. Depending on community reception and signups, we would look to officially give the Miniwar Scene some action this next year. A topic explaining the rest of the Sharkbrew Miniwar Season for 2018 should be out later this month.
The BrewCup Miniwar tournament will have 2 categories: the first category will follow default miniwar rules while the second one will be an old-school style tournament where most +1 weapons will not be permitted.
Pures(Knockout) - Default Rules Pures(Knockout) - Oldschool Style. Following weapons are not allowed (may still change): Ballista Trident Staff of Dead Elder Maul Kodai wand Dragon Warhammer New God capes Twisted Bow All Spears Flames of Zamorak BrewCup Rules-
If there are two teams who represent the same clan, these will face each other in round one automatically. NO EXCEPTIONS All matches will be best 3 of 5. Ddos will not be taken as a valid excuse for a redo. This is a general rule for the tournament. All accounts must be 1-5 defense with no exceptions. There is no combat cap. Teams are required to start their matches on established dates. If one or more members fail to show up at the correct time, they will be given a 15 minute buffer. After 15 minutes and the event starts, THEY MAY NO LONGER BE INVOLVED IN THE FIGHT.  If this is the case, you must decide if you fight down opts or forfeit the fight.  Teams are allowed to have scrimmage fights before the competitive match, but you cannot scrim the team you will be facing at that moment. All seeds for this first tournament in our calendar year will be randomized. Memberlists will be LOCKED, team who competes with a name that is not on their memberlist will be handed an automatic 3-0 loss.  Players will be allowed to participate in a maximum of two teams as we know some would want to participate for Clan and Team. Sharkbrew is not responsible for any decisions taken if both end up meeting up though.  Default time 5EST mass, 5.30EST start.  Poll for what system will be used in the tournament can be found here:  Even though players are allowed a maximum of 2 teams they can participate in, no team can have more than 3 players (3 or less is acceptable) who are also part of other teams. This is to limit a same "unit" making 2 teams to increase their chances of winning.
    BrewCup Extra Information-
To mix in with the rest of the BrewCup's tournament system, this will be a Single Elimination tournament. It will be a short tournament. It could possibly be done in a weekend but to be more flexible we will run it in one week. If you are signing up, it is important you are up to date with the schedule.  Sharkbrew TS will be available for these 6v6 fights. Depending on the amount of signups, a team that lost might still have an opportunity to qualify for the next round. Try to do your best even if it is looking dull. The bracket system that will be used eliminates 'bye' rounds and instead places a loser of the round where we have an odd number of teams against the team that has not yet fought who would of had a 'bye' in other brackets. System that will be used to chose the losing team who still has a chance: (In order of priority). Remembering these all refer to the losing team. Amount of rounds won (2-3 Loss is better than a 0-3 Loss) Amount of players killed in all rounds.  If there is still a tie between two clans, then we must have these two face each other in a best 3 of 5, before facing the clan who has not fought yet. Bracket will be made public a few days after sign ups are officially closed.  You are given a maximum of 8 players just in case teams want to rotate players or one of the starters does not make it in time.

    Important Topic:
The poll to finish several decisions for this tournament can be found here, it will be closed on March 15:
Remember to speak to your clan leaders to participate in the clan events which are open as well.
    Sharkbrew Stage 1 Miniwar Tournament-
The topic for Sharkbrew's second miniwar tournament is closing in on its final stages. After a good run in the Brewcup 6v6 tournament, we have decided to continue with the Miniwar tournaments which had been planned for this year. The tournament system is being switched for this tournament. This will give participants the chance to have more miniwars instead of it being losing 1 and out. If this system is successful, we can repeat it for the next tournament; if it isn't, we can revert to the basics.
Last tournament had a total of 14 teams sign up, which is why the examples for the Group Stages are made for 7 teams (It would be 2 Pools of 7 teams). If the number of signups exceeds 16 teams, we may divide the Pools into 4 instead of 2 or rethink the amount of time we will give teams to do the Round 1 matches.
The higher your placing in the Brewcup 6v6 Default Tournament, the more favorable your position in the event's groups will be. If it is divided into 4 pools because of high signups, then it would be more apparent.
The Stage 1 tournament will follow this system-
    Part 1- Group Stages
    Part 2- Last Chance Qualification
    Part 3- Single Elimination

Pool Draw Info: Part 1 Group Stages
Participating teams will be divided into 2 Pools, each seed will be determined by the results of the Brewcup 6v6 tournament. If there is a new team participating who did not participate in the previous event, this team will be seeded below last place of the previous tournament. In the case that there are 2 teams representing the same clan, these teams would be placed in the same Pool automatically so that matches move smoother.
    Example:
Team A and Team B are from Clan 1, this would mean both Team A and Team B will be placed in Pool A. And if Team C and Team D are from Clan 2, then both would be placed in Pool B.
Split in teams will be equal, but in the case there is an odd number of teams; one pool will have an extra team and this will be decided by a random generator. Pool A and Pool B teams will have to finish all of their fights from the Friday (April 6) to Sunday (April 29). Any fight not done by this time will be handed as a null for both teams. I WILL NOT ALLOW ANY TEAM TO EXTEND FROM THIS TIME. This switch comes because of BrewCup extending way too much due to laziness in communication rather than actual problems setting the fight up. If there is enough evidence of 1 team trying to set the fight up and the other team dismissing, then this would be given as a win. There will be ranks available to help set up the fights if neither team can come to an agreement. Signups for the tournament will close 1 week before the tournament starts (March 30). The Pools/Recommended schedules will be made public 1 or 2 days after the signups close. This is to give Team representatives an extra 5 days to set up their matches before the tournament starts.  Teams will be required to do 1 weekly miniwar or they will get a strike. This does not mean you can only do one, the more you do the better. If there is a team that has a strike, this will automatically give you a disadvantage in the case of a tie. If a team has 3 strikes, the team will be eliminated from the tournament and all their matches will be 0-3 losses. This rule is implemented so that no team tries to get all the matches on the last week and then try to claim auto-wins if the other teams have it tough in the last week. There will be several teams per Pool so you may try with different teams and there will be ranks available to help set up fights. If two teams set up the fight, and one doesn't show up, this will be given as a loss to the team that doesn't show up. Even if setting up the fight was a mistake.  Top 2 teams per group will have automatic qualification to the third part of the tournament, seeds 3 and 4 will enter a Last Chance Qualifier. Teams will be allowed to get the fights in whatever order they desire. Any problems setting up the fight could be brought up to the ranks and we will try to mediate a time/date according to the information given by both teams. We will be providing clans with a recommended order, and a list of all the matches, but it's up to the team representatives. The member caps for both clans/teams was increased, time provided to set up fights was increased, time to get the matches done was increased and communication will be improved. Teams/clans should have enough flexibility to get the matches done. In the case of a tie for a competitive spot (1-4) it will be decided by: (in order of priority) Total amount of wins Penalty for missing Weekly Matches Head to Head record Rounds Win Percentage Round Robin (If 3+ teams tied) POINT SYSTEM  Best 3of5 Win/Loss Ratio

Player and teams who are caught in more than two will be suspended for the rest of the season.  Ddos will not be taken as an excuse for a Redo. Sharkbrew Ts will be available for 6v6s as well. Redos, if any, will be done after both teams finish the rest of their matches. You will not be given a redo if you do not finish the rest of your matches. All accounts must be 1-5 defense. No exceptions. Teams are allowed to have scrimmage fights before the competitive match, but you cannot scrim the team you will be facing at that moment. Seeding for the tournament has been decided following the Brewcup default tournament. There is no combat cap for 6v6s. All team reps will be added into a Discord group to facilitate communication since this was a problem for the BrewCup. This means Discord will be mandatory for this event as communication was an issue in BrewCup for some teams. Currently we are polling if people prefer the "PKRI only" style used in the Brewcup or "Att, Def, PKRI, Att, Def" style.  Banned items: Ballistas, Kodai. Elder Maul, and New Mage Spells. MEMBERLIST:
With the recent poll having been opened for some time now. This section was created to write the rules involving Clan/Team memberlists and to answer questions/doubts. Memberlists will be closed once the event starts. There will be no changes allowed once the event starts. Accounts not in the memberlist will result in an automatic loss for the team. All Miniwar teams will have their Member Caps increased from 8 to 10. Now each team will have the possibility of 6 starters and 4 backups increasing flexibility to have fights. Miniwar teams will be allowed to use/create Memberlists using Sharkbrew's memberlist feature, but for this tournament, it will not be mandatory. Clans will be allowed to use their Clan Memberlists for the tournament. If a name on the memberlist is incorrect, and it does not match the account used in-game, then this will result in an automatic loss and it will not be disputable. The memberlist needs to be accurate so make sure every participant has his/her username updated. Following the first stage of the poll, the current voting leads to us allowing clans to use anyone in their memberlist for the competition instead of being capped at 10 like Miniwar Teams. The Clan representative will need to provide a list with the forum alias of all the potential participants. The current solution to balance this new rule for it to not become a problem is to cap this number at 25 MEMBER+ for clans. 25 participants is way more than enough to increase flexibility for a 6v6 tournament. Having this cap at 25 allows Clan representatives to have a good amount of people from their memberlist to chose from and still allow team representatives to search if the clan brought an invite or an account doesn't match the memberlist.
    Part 2: Last Chance Qualifier
The teams that place first and second from each Pool will earn automatic qualification to the Third round meaning they will skip this Stage of the tournament.  The teams that place third and fourth from each Pool will enter these Last Chance Qualifiers. These fights will be done on May 5, right before we get into the Single Elimination.  The team that got the #3 spot in Pool A will face the team who got the #4 spot from Pool B. The team that got the #3 spot in Pool B will face the team who got the #4 spot in Pool A. Each match will be a best 3 of 5, winner goes through the next round and loser is eliminated.   Last Chance Qualifier

Shadows reacted to slushpuppy in [Sharkbrew 2.0] High rank promotion - Phase 1
In light of the OSRS mobile announcement, we realized that there will be new opportunities for the Pure Community and Sharkbrew, coming from the increased user base and a new players of a completely new generation with far different expectations and motivations. In order to capture this new audience, sharkbrew needed to adapt to the changes around us, so for the past 4 months the sharkbrew rank team has hard at work building up new ideas and systems to tackle this problem. These ideas will create a better and more active environment for Pure community and Sharkbrew.
With these new ideas and systems, we will need a bigger rank team. A bigger rank team means I'll need more senior ranks to coordinate the system, thus, congratulations to the following:
@Andy - You have proven yourself to be extremely loyal and a dedicated hard worker. Your ability to put aside clan and personal differences will see you excel at your latest position as a  Counselor
@Lenin - As one of the few Sharkbrew ranks with relevant hard skills, you definitely climbed the promotion ladder quicker than most and your spontaneity  at solving problems and volunteering solutions makes the Counselor position deserving of you.
I urge everyone to show our latest high ranks their total support and feel free to approach anyone of us if you have issues or questions. Stay tune later this week for the homepage/memberlist fix/and the launch of the Sharkbrew's very own Discord!

One year ago Unbreakable opened our doors. A small group of friends got together and decided to open a clan during probably the worst time in pure clanning history. We knew it would not be the same but we also knew we would find the fun in it no matter what. And we did.

The first few months of Unbreakable was pretty much what we expected – the top pulling clans had maybe 40 pures and an equal amount of mains while the lower pulling clans were similar but not quite as dedicated to the main cause. We found fun in our battles against the other lower pulling clans and didnt take ourselves too seriously. It was fun for a while but we, like every other pure clan open at the time, found it incredibly hard to grow during a time that runescape was at its peak playerbase. In the past, it was easy to fill your pure clan with new people just wanting to go out and kill people but the amount of mains and addy almost immediately turned off any new prospect.

With that fact becoming glaringly obvious as we went on, we knew in order for Unbreakable (and pure clanning in general) to survive we had to join the growing LPC 1 defence scene and get back to the basics of what pure clanning was. No mains, no defence, and no cancer that will turn off new clanners. With us, most of the lower pulling clans followed suit and almost immediately all of our memberlists swelled up and almost every single LPC was pulling high numbers. The collective amount of people in the LPC scene compared to HPC at this time was probably 3 to 1, people very obviously preferred one defence, and eventually the older clans who were more scared of change followed suit. When we made our announcement topic about going 1 defence we said at the bottom that “we had hoped one day the LPC bracket turns into what the HPC bracket is supposed to be and pure clanning makes it's return as the most fun, most active, and most action packed clanning scene.” And even though some other clans that are prone to flaming without thinking said things to the effect of we (and everyone else who moved down) were only moving down because we were failures, I think time has proven that this was very obviously the right move to make.

Since then, we have had amazing success. We are the only new clan still open from the HPC era and are consistently put on the same pedestal as the legacy clans like Foe and Eop. Even with these legacy clans both thinking they are in a constant rivalry with us, at times both hating us more than they hate eachother, we have thrived. We have built ourselves a strong community with strong ideals and even with all the odds stacked against us we do not stoop to the levels of some clans who forget why we all left the HPC scene to begin with. We have gained over 150k posts on our forum in this year, amassed a prep record of 67-17, GWAS'd multiple clans multiple times, and are undefeated in heated rivalries. No matter what people might try and say to downplay our success, we are a top clan and always will be.

With that all said, we are but one clan in a community of multiple clans all with their own distinct identity and we couldnt have done it all without you. Here's to hoping we see you all every weekend for more years to come.
