It's expected that when a clan decides to bring mains, pure clans team on it. Prideful people these days do not see that though.
I see no bad movement in this, just proves why clans are ditching HPC and going LPC. Too bad as well, the competitiveness of the HPC scene was always pretty good, but it seems that it will end soon. Or at least be reduced to 4-5 clans soon enough. Kind of surprised the HPC scene clans never bother to bring a fireblast unit. Why the target was EoP is beyond me though, as CP and CD were around with much more mains.
Now I do admit that it is awkward af that first, you found that IRC chan with clan ranks in it, and second people leaving it quickly after you entered. I personally would of just made a new one.
Aren't you the person that came into OUR ts asking for a exchange for members to come to each other's trip? Are you mad because I said no and for them to ban or what?
Kind of justin beiber not going to lie. You were the clan who fought the most to stay 1-25 def, then eventually accepted 30. Now that clans are going back to 1-4 defense, you decide to bash at the clans who are looking to try and do something about it.
Our community has been at a stand still for the longest time, it is about time something different happened.
The new scene will have no combat caps, as people see them as a limitation for their accounts. Obviously 88 cb will be the common site in the scene from now on, but no one will limit theirselves to that.
LPC scene will be 1-4 def no combat cap
MPC scene (who go out as lpcs but will have restrictions on declarations and whatnot) 1-20 def no combat cap.
Onviously clans who go out as 1-4 def will be able to recruit more, but either of these scenes will be very popular
TOPIC IS VERY LONG: TLDR: 1-5 def and 1-20 def scene is looking good.
Pure Community,
Recently here at Sharkbrew, a new qualification for clans was introduced which would classify pure clans by Defense Caps, instead of Combat Caps like the old systems. This was met with a satisfactory level of positive responses from the community which made some of us pretty optimistic about some changes eventually, even though we knew this would bring no immediate changes. I am not really referring to the SB staff either; I am referring to different people from the community who messaged me about the idea.
It was decided that:
1-4 defense clans would be classified as LPCs
1-20 defense clans would be classified as MPCs
1-39 defense (or 1-30+ like slush wrote lmao) would be classified as HPCs.
Talking as a member of the Pure Clan Community, I have decided to take my time to analyze some recent changes which have occurred in our community. I am optimistic they will be changes to make the overall game-play better. Our next goal is the improvement of the community and its honor that has been lost. This same topic will be received with posts from people who did not take the time to try and analyze why us, the pure community, have the say to our own future. We as staff of Sharkbrew have been trying our best to communicate with all of the community, enacting our roles as Mediators, Counselors and Administrators to the best of our abilities and disposition of our time. The community must understand though, that no matter what we as Sharkbrew do, the people who have the last say of what happens to our Pure Community are the people in the Community itself. It is up to us as a whole to decide where pure clans head to.
Getting back on topic though, Pure Clans and their members have been debating for quite some time if this is where we belong in our Post-EOC era. We all know why we had 30+ defense Pre-EOC (If you didn't it is because the couple of advantages such as Turmoil which actually helped the community a lot), but at this point in time, some point have started to realize that 39 defense is what is killing us pure clans.
Why is 39 defense killing clans?
First of all, I will explain why in my opinion 30+ defense (34 I think it was) was actually so successful for pure clans in the past. You might agree, you might disagree, this is just my opinion lol. Like I mentioned earlier, Turmoil was a massive step forward for pure clans, along with the extra protection of adamant. But the fact that a lot of people seem to forget, is that us pure clans now had a large amount of these "Turmoil Pures" that started to pop up on P2P 1v1 worlds which we could recruit (Don't remember the Pre-EOC P2P 1v1 worlds). These Turmoil pures saw Pure Clans as something normal since they would wear the same armor and use the same tactics that these 1v1 pures would use for their pking.
The people who did not see Turmoil Pures as something common, meaning the regular 1 def pures or 20 def pures (initiate pures if I am not mistaken), regularly chose to join clans who they saw had people common to them. This is why Mayhem Makers, Enemy and PoP were able to mass up such large member bases, since obviously the amount of 1 or 20 defense pures has always been higher than 30-39 def pures.
Now moving to Post-EOC, where turmoil is non-existent. Where are the 1v1 PKers to recruit into the community? Are you really expecting to recruit 1 def pures wearing addy armor? As turmoil is not present in the game, people see no reason to why we pure clans have adamant armor. Who can blame them? This is exactly the reason why the LPC and the MPC scene (1-4 def and 1-20 def) are absolutely blowing up right now.
Slowly our whole community starts to get duller and duller, with nothing really motivating the people to push through like in other tough times our Community experienced. Only thing that keeps people around this game is because of the good relationships they have made with people throughout the years. To take some examples, EoP members from Pre-EOC meeting up with EoP members from Post-EOC, Zenith members keeping their community tight and forming Doom, TLP members keeping tight and forming Unbreakable. These relationships are what keeps our community alive at the moment, as there is no further motivation for the game anymore. This is why a lot of people just log into RS for trips and log out.
I understand that a lot of people simply do not have time to create new accounts, if it was only that easy to max out a completely new account to be part of a new scene. You must understand that this new scene would drastically help your clan's development.
For the first time in a VERY long time, there is a big variety of clans all classified under LPC/MPC (For those HPC people who don't know, xLPC/LPC/MPC clans all go out at the same time and fight each other).
To put it a bit more bluntly.
HPCs:
xLPCs/LPCs/MPCs (All 1 scene) P2P and F2P may vary:
Some HPCs have even started talks about moving to this 1-4 defense or 1-20 defense scenes where mains are (for the most part) less common. I am not saying they are not there, but they sure are less common as less clans use them. This obviously would be a very long process, but you have to sit down and think, would this really be a negative move for my clan? 16 LPCs vs 8 HPCs, and some of these HPCs have held talks about 1-20 defense.
Most of the LPCs listed here, easily pull the same, if not more than HPCs already. So you have a scene of clans with 1-4 def or 1-20 def, who can easily recruit people from either F2P or P2P, pull higher, have longer fights than HPCs usually, and (for the most part) less mains.
1-4 Def and 1-20 Def is basically the better scene, soon people's pride will crack. A lot of HPC clan members are already joining LPCs.
This could go 2 ways though, either couple other HPCs move down to the LPC scene, or it remains the same for some time and LPCs start to close then move back to the scene that is 1-39 def. We decide where we go.
Also on the topic of personality clashes: While there probably would be a handful of people who wouldn't be able to get over their petty beef, i think the majority of it would die down once those people are in and fighting for the same clan.
A bigger problem would probably be figuring out a rank structure that would suit everyone.
If we did open as a main clan i'd just put my head down & work like any other clan I've been in and if anyone wants to be childish they'll just be kicked.
We will definitely have the numbers to shake the scene but we'll have to work on quality. Having said that after a few months with experience and working on quality we'll slot right in and if we manage to maintain high numbers who knows we might be top 3.
