see, a real pure scene only started to regrow after clans like dmk, misfits, sf and aao started tussling each other daily with CLEAN, PURE ONLY action. idk if you attended the last p2p friday trip but it was beautiful, i saw like 3 mains max in 2.5 hours of trip. your clan can be clean if your rank team chooses to, just as much as any clan.
 
bringing mains and ragging the scene in hopes of making it better is just an ignorant approach, idk if you notice, but it just exhausts the relationship between clans and ruins the fun for everyone, it literally kills the scene (why do you think foe members didn't show up for f2p trips for the longest time? or why you got ganged by the whole scene in f2p this past weekend?) as long as 1 clan decides to rag, everyone else will straight out of survival instinct, then everyone else that doesn't find a rag fest entertaining will stop showing up, then scene is dead. I really hope you learned at this point.
 
about you and your clan being the "police" of the pure community, nobody asked you to be and nobody wants you to be, we just want your clan and every other clan to provide the community with clean fights and transparency. we don't need "protection from a greater evil" we just need pures to fking show up at trips, and mains to not show up at trips. so stop showing up with 50 mains at trips and there you go scene is back.

Sounds like a plan to me, wont be mandatory, but allows for clans to recruit a broader range of players, bring them into the community, and the HPC scene won't be considered cancer because rune armour will be allowed in the wilderness for that scene.

Clans will be scared to make the first jump, but if we get enough support & make it official, that is when the real movement will start. E.g. look at recent LPC surge which is thanks in no small part to the publicity sharkbrew has been giving the scene.

Also for the "imaginary" rivalry, let me remind you that it was RSW that massed PM everyone here, recruited my ranks to jump ship & generally posted personal attack topics directed at myself?
 
Sharkbrew has retained about 80% of our users, our post per day is back to pre-rsw levels & quality of posts have dramatically increased. Whereas for RSW, your post activity has collapsed, and your rank team has resorted to deceitful methods to mask the overall falling user count by using a fake user online counter & generally accusing slushpuppy for their self inflicted ill-fortune
 
So yes, you are right, it is impossible to have a rivalry with a dead competitor.

I don't understand, you guys keep saying this "statement", a statement of what? That you're too fucking pathetic and weak to take an L and resort to NH tactics? There's nothing scary about showing upto a robe fight with a bunch of rune armour. It's just cancerous and not fun for anyone.
 
How about when a clan pisses you off and leaks your ts audio (like you guys have done numerous times), rather than wasting time with tanks/rag accounts, you put your efforts into recruiting and building your clan? Showing upto a fight against your rivals with double their pulls in pures, now THAT would be a fucking statement.
 
All you are doing is hurting your clan more. Your dedicated members that have spent a lot time building your clan or your newer members that are showing interest in the clan probably don't appreciate it when their efforts are thrown out the window for the sake of multilogging on mains.

New Pure Clan Classification-The Solution To Mains
 
 
There will be a side bar hook that shows the current clans & the respective classification they belong to. There will be a dispute section where anyone can publicly post evidence of clans breaking the classification. Depending on the circumstances, the following can happen:For members who were hacked, clans will be given 1 week to egress members from the clan For blatantly using higher defence pures(or mains) in any events, the clan will be given a warning not to repeat it again. Failure to accede to above requirements will result in the clan being automatically moved up to the next combat tier There will be no exceptions Clans can request to be moved up or down the combat tier For existing clans, this classification will not kick in until 1st February to give everyone more time to adjust the levels of their clan members Q&A
 
Why base it on Defence levels instead of Combat? Compatible with existing clans- Existing HPCs today all bring 30 defs, so no changes. The new LPCs will also slot in just fine. MPCs will be an issue, but we will try out best to integrate them accordingly Persistent Clan Branding - With the current system, clan ranks just simply choose a category and stick with it. No more moving up the tier when everyone has leveled. Restraining Def levels - When new clans move up tier, usually they would be unable to compete with the existing clans who usually has higher defence. As a result, these new clans also end up increasing their def avg Fairer - Clans would now only have to fight others with similar def levels & ultimately similar gear setup/weapons if jagex chooses to introduce turmoil/etc. What happens if Jagex introduces defence based weapons like turmoil/handcannon? Nothing changes-Turmoil pures will join HPCs, and 1 def pures will stick within their own category. How does this solve the issue of mains? Minimizes the reckless leveling of defence - Under the old system, clans have encouraged members to obtain 39 def pure (tanks) to stay competitive within their tier. Now they will be penalized for it. Low defence reduces chance of mains attacking you - A low defence pure will less exposed to main accounts that could threaten its PKing dominance. A 1 def 80 cb nearly maxed pure should best any equivalent lvl 80 main, esp with the new raid weapons. What happens if my lvl 50 lpc gets attacked by lvl 50 cb critical damage mains? Who do these classifications apply to?Sharkbrew has zero jurisdictions in game, however we hope that clans take the initiative, regardless on 1st Feb Sharkbrew will automatically group you for the following:WCOTM COTM Clan Declaration System Any other tournament or clan vs clan events. Some clans refuse to obey the def limit and still bring higher def pures!Dispute them Use tactics to defeat them... (wasn't an issue when MM was around.. remember 30 def today confers almost no offensive advantage.) like:Hit & Run KO squad consisting of mages/rangers Fight at lower wilderness(because ur not frigging 39 def, it shouldn't be a problem!) There is another clanning website, what if they don't follow the same classification system?The other site has spoken volumes about stopping mains, but it is expected that nothing will bore fruition as that site is ran by some of the more toxic pure clans who introduced mains to their respective pure brackets it is more than likely they will try to demonize some of the attempts by this site to cure the main cancer, but I strongly believe that a group of maxed pures will defeat any subpar mains at lvl 20 wilderness. The reason nothing happens is because your lazy ass does nothing about it. Nothing is impossible. Example: if you want a job in real life, do you just give up an say "I won't get it"? I don't think so. And if you do, you really are a loser.
 
And on the matter of training a new pure. You don't have time for that? But you have time to browse sharkbrew everyday and stock up returns on your main for the PURE pk trips?

We started our first trip around 11:45am EST going out with 15 and ending our 4th trip of the day with 19 degenerates at around 3am EST. We've been pking pretty much all day, around 9 hours if we add it all up.

 

We've encountered many teams known as Clan X, TCF? GD?,etc, and got to kill some zerkers and mains as well.

 

We had some set up fights vs DMK fighting them down by quite a few. Thanks for the fights!

 

 

We've never missed a day of pking for the past month, since we started this whole movement. The wild is getting more and more busy by the day so don't be shy and come on out, usually the action happens around w18!

I must say I agree with most if not everything you've said.
 
I do acknowledge the fact that there's less flame/trolling going on and it's getting more and more interesting to read these new topics on Sharkbrew
 
Keep it up everyone.

With a certain clan opting to divide the community and move to a new community forum, the result as far as I can see has been almost a complete absence in flaming/trolling  - It's funny the same guys who push this movement of 'Making Pure Clanning Great Again' harbor the trolls/egos of our community that made this site cancer originally.
 
SharkBrew has served as a catalyst of our community since Pure Clanning was at our weakest points on Oldschool Runescape. Our 'Rival' community site has been unable to see that. They don't realize that SharkBrew once didn't have 400+ users viewing daily, 5,000+ members registered and over 750k Total Forum Post; what they do see is the Final result of years of contributions to these forums and an opportunity to capitalize. If anyone hasn't noticed our 'Rival' Community forum has trend of re-opening and closing things. They've proved this to be true twice this year in opening the same clan. They believe that the best way to make a change is to start over. I think differently. When you put effort into something and there other variables in play apart from yourself you have to consider how a community has a whole or even members of your clan would feel about such a change. After 15 Trys our 'Rivals' Still haven't figured that out. The habits they've created with their respectable clans have rolled over to community forums and some of you have blindly followed.
 
Our 'Rivals' fail to see that Sharkbrew has been the centerpiece in reconstructing our community to this point you all want to play again..and now you are just unhappy with the way they are leading it? Well talk about it. Talk about what needs to be done in order to make this community more enjoyable for everyone and make sure that the conversation starts with you. We're all guilty of foul play on these forums and if you try to curve your actions individually I believe we'll continue the cleanse cycle on these forums.
 
 
Moving forward I believe the future is bright for SharkBrew, the recent promotions make me even more optimistic. Keep up the good work boys and let's continue working towards a more action packed-productive Pure Clanning community.

You don't have a clear vision and opened having CD being banned from pure community as one of the reasons. As well as flaming, which is not that big of a problem anymore over here. I think now you have the hype and a lot of your site visitors/spectators are just curious. To my mind, I don't think you will be able to lure all the clans to your community leading people who left - coming back in the long run.

-> originally a main clan that got bullied into pure clanning
-> couldn't compete against pures so mass trained main accounts
-> openly threatened to ddos and dox members of rival clans
-> openly admitted to hacking a moderator of sharkbrew who tried to improve the community
-> gets kicked out of the community for said actions
-> claims sharkbrew is cancer so opens another community website

So tonight was fun. We started off out PK trip and after a few kills at corp we decided we were going to hit druids... Inevitably Rev logged in. This is where it began.

 

The fight lasted 2 hours and 58 minutes. We fought at corp for around an hour, pures hit us and we decided to push north and team them. Rev went slightly further north and logged and we stayed and cleared them in about 15 seconds. 

 

From there we ran and logged into Rev's world at boneyard. We then fought south of bone yard for another 90 minutes. We nearly cleared Rev (them having 2/3 people left) twice, and they without a doubt did the same to us at certain points. 

 

Mains came from somewhere (I was returning, shock) so we pushed it south of corp, we ended up at level 12/13 wild and this is where it happened.

 

After 3 hours, our members were still returning in new force, our newest applicants, some who were accepted only today were still returning in full gear. We pushed north as the combat level was too great, they didn't follow. We began to run south to find them, to run into about three of them tele'ing out, Rev cleared.

 

We know they might post pictures of them saying 'veng cleared' earlier in the fight when we decided to move location, but at the end of the fight we were still there, they were not. Actually, check this out, is that Rev tele'ing out?
