Intensity Posted September 10, 2021 Report Share Posted September 10, 2021 Figured I'd make a more realistic version of Yaz's topic as someone in Rage/BC complaining about the current state of the scene just doesn't add up to me. This topic, is coming from someone who has clanned on and off for the past 12 years, mainly quit due to the mains being involved, and the lack of leadership in 99.9% of these clans. This topic is coming from someone currently clanless/ unbiased and just looking to possibly get back into the scene. ISSUES 1) Many clans are guilty of the current issues in the Pure Scene. Rage, Zenith, OG, BP, Apex, LY ( not so much anymore ) FI. #1 reason being certain clan LEADERS allowing their members to MULTI clan with Main clans. For example, clans like BP, OG, and Rage allowing their members, even ranks to also be apart of main clans. Whether its BC or Rev, this is a big issue in the scene. Zenith and Apex being in the RoT alliance, just correlates with other clans allowing multi clanning. EVERY clan is currently guilty. 2) MAIN CLANS Question of the day is why don't these main clans rival each other? Why don't these main clans bring out the pures we all know they have and just be part of the pure scene instead of making it a disaster? There's plenty of people involved in the main scene for them to just rival each other, so why don't they? These are the real questions that should be answered. 3) LEADERS EGOS This is by far the #1 biggest issue in the scene. The people that hold leadership positions in these clans are the one thats can "SLIGHTLY" revive the scene a bit, its Jagexs job to do the rest with a PVP update. Leaders/Egos - Not one single leader in the scene ( in the guilty clans) can step up and take notice of the current issues going on because of EGOS. If the people holding leadership positions had a backbone they'd try to fix the scene but instead they sit back and let the issues continue. This problem also has to do with RANKs in clans as well AS they should be pushing a better agenda to their leaders. As we all know theres newer clans opening very soon, and newer clans slowly getting their names out there. OFA, FS, Int, Horror Whether or not people may dislike people holding leadership positions in any of those clans, take notes because they are the ones putting out effort to try to make the scene better. End of the day this all comes down to the leaders of these clans who are all grown men in their mid 20s by now, not being able to resolve pretty simple issues rather. These are the real issues going on. Main clans, being to scared to rival eachother so they result into hitting pure clans. No matter what clans will have their own personal guys that also can't comprehend to not bring a med but if the main clans see their way out of the pure scene and actually rival eachother thatd help alot. Anyways just my thoughts, huge supporter of the 1 def movement once again and always will be, but we all know how that ends up going. Leaders grow a sack and attempt to revive the pure scene a bit.. Members and ranks being involved in both scenes has definitely proven sour for the progress of the pure scene. This is particular with multiclanning (rev alliance) and members being poached from the pure clans involved (rot alliance). The scene gets a little smaller each time this issue peaks, as it has been a lingering issue since the beginning if 2020. At the end of the day, pure clans are being used as proxies for main clan beef so that no main clans need to take an official loss. Rage get smoked? Rev don't lose for propaganda purposes. Zenith/Apex get smoked? Rot don't lose for propaganda purposes. With this whole ordeal, pure clans lose out 100% of the time. In an ideal situation, yes multiclanning should be minimised, or non existant between the scenes if main clans are going to be anal about it. The ego issue is purely based on rivalries. The rage sided clans will all have clean action with eachother. The zenith sided clans will all have clean action with eachother. Due to not wanting to lose or wanting to grief their rivals with mains and 1 item rag (the no action for 'x' clan mentality), clans crashing aren't trying to form a cluster, they're trying to ruin their rival's action and turn it into the tine consuming ns wars at a 1 click return spot. And as @nawepointed out, avoider mentality is crazy right now. Clans that historically prepped everybody and competed for top matched spots now spend their time avoiding most clans. At the very least, more clans should be fighting regardless of their rivalries. Preps are perfect ego fuellers, they should be gunning for the clan wars wins as well over their rivals (but not go for a 1 and done if they win). One last note, a 1 Defence reset won't change all these cancerous mentalities, but it would be a very nice direction for the health of the scene and bringing in new blood. Generally, more seasoned clanners are the ones fine with defence. If we want lots of new blood, allowing a 1 Defence norm will advertise the scene very well. Edit: sorry, one more thing. Clans should stop wearing team capes on weekends IMO because it enables mains to be very actively involved. Clan cloaks won't stop it, but it'll stop a lot of the cancer and effectiveness of multi logs and click rag on weekends. Supremacy and Fo do this well, and from an observant point of view they don't seem to be involved with bringing mains personally.
