I haven't played seriously since ~2017 or 2018, but I would like to comment that I believe one of the simplest solutions is having the toxic rivalries come to an agreement/halt. (Like do you guys really care about a clans video game appearance/reputation as adults most likely over the ages of 25 at this point?) It comes down to the facts of having a game to play, or playing it miserably. When I was younger pures were designed to beat the shit out of mains and gang up on them. I really would have loved to see when FO got targeted by ROT that the entire community would have joint together and just fought ROT back. Yeah we would probably lose but, the insane amount of action that brings and the ability to tell one of the most dominant main clans to fuck off would have been awesome.

If you guys think about it, being below 5 def is a real pure.... Imo if Steel Skin is a viable prayer that increases your build then you're not a pure. For all the people who didn't know, if you're below 6 def and activate steel skin +(15% def prayer) you gain no benefits and just drain prayer. Likewise if you're at 7 def and activate steel skin you effectively increase your def to 8. And just for fun if you're 25 def using the ability you increase to 28 def! So hows clanning going? I haven't been active in years. I just see all of the silly "rivaleries" (lol 07 scape rivals)

The Era of good clanning was over in like 2009. Clans won't team on crash due to "pride" , clans won't fight each other due to "rivaleries" which I find amusing. Clans just don't fight anymore and think Running @ each other touching tips for 10 seconds and teleporting out is fun. The community is so easy to fix if ranks of clans would actually grow up. I just don't get how members of clans actually find it okay to be Lead under such a bad image.

If Foe really caused more of the issue then it's on them honestly. On the other hand If Rot out of the blue decided to pull shit then I actually would want to Pure community vs Rot. However if the scene is "cleaner" now which I doubt since all any and everyone does is crash teleport, then good for the scene.
