They want represent everyone fairly by closing off Iron Man/ Pure-Update related polls to only iron men/ pures. Any other 'smaller' community is what they're seeking to represent throughout the polls. This isn't a concrete update as they're still seeking feedback. With updates requiring over 75% approval in order to happen, updates targeting smaller communities can struggle to make it in game.Two examples of this are Pure updates and Ironman updates. While many have passed, there are certainly examples of changes which are highly requested by these communities failing to make it into Old School. Read this spoiler Overall, the discussion which followed seemed quite split. There was a lot of support for the idea, as well as some concerns. In order to get a clearer idea of exactly where the community stands, we will be polling some questions being restricted to certain parts of the community. Their new dev blog post questions if they should close off some of the questions to various communities such as Iron-Man & Us. Aka limiting who can vote on certain questions in the polls. Question: If a poll question only affects the gameplay of certain players, should we only allow those affected players to vote on it? In order for an update to be polled to a specific part of the player base, it would need to truly be exclusively a change to only that community. If it provides an advantage over other players or a change which impacts the wider game, it would still require approval from the entire community. They also talk about further changes such as changing votes / concealing the results. So, what we can do as a community is to post on their developer blog posts. Make sure to also stay posted on their developer blog updates on this topic and spread it around There isn't a real clarification in what a Pure is aside from the def requirement being 30 def during J-CUP. This could also be troubling if this poll update does pass for smaller communities. Express your concerns about the restrictions and whatever you stand on this discussion on their forums and on ours. Hopefully this works for the best. Took them long enough to finally allow other people besides Main Clans to decide updates for the wilderness.
